WHAAAAAAAAT? Yes. You read this right. A woman in Redding, California actually took the police on a high speed chase in the Scooby Doo Mystery Machine. The van that we all know and love from our childhood is back, however Daphne has hit the wall.
In this episode, Daphne was played by Sharon Kay Turman pictured below. In all fairness, this picture was without her makeup. Zoinks!
The police report says they attempted to pull over Turman for violating her probation. She was spotted driving a 1994 Chrysler Town and Country minivan painted as the one and only Mystery Machine. The Mystery Machine fled, leading the police on a high speed chase at speeds up to 100 MPH. I always knew the Mystery Machine had some get-up-and-go and it done got gone. The Mystery Machine eventually duped her would-be captors and the chase would end with the police empty handed and simply baffled leaving the police asking, “Scooby Doo Where are You!”
Daphne’s whereabouts are as mysterious as the van. We feel it’s important to note that in this article we refrained from using the words “Ruroh Raggy” and didn’t mention “Scooby Snacks.” Zoinks had to be said.
