Hellraiser

What we know about this haunt so far: it’s going to be a hell of a time (see what we did there?) and terrifying. Pinhead is back and better than ever in this haunt. Watch the trailer to learn more.

Top 13 Scariest Friday the 13ths

YouTube has been around for over two decades. That has left plenty of time for some creepy videos to be posted. Here are 13 of the scariest videos uploaded to YouTube. Brace yourself. Some of these videos get pretty wacky.

1. Possibly in Michigan (1983)

This video is a short film about two young women who are being stalked by a cannibal at a mall. He then follows the two women home, where he attempts to attack them. However, he’ll soon learn from his mistakes…When you watch this video, you might recognize some of the audio. It went viral on TikTok several years ago and has been a staple in the HorrorTok section of TikTok.

2. kuyang dayak

A kuyang is a creature from Dayak and Kalimantan folklore. In the day, it looks like a human. At night, however, its head detaches, and it floats around to feast on the blood of pregnant women and newborns. If that’s what is in this video, then that’s terrifying. If that’s not what the creature is…then I’m scared.

3. I Feel Fantastic

This video follows a singing mannequin. This video is famous for its “uncanny valley” effect and has circulated on the web for years. There were rumors that the creator was a murderer, and the clothes that the mannequin was wearing were from his victims. Of course this theory has never been proven…but if you watch the video, you might believe it for yourself.

4. Haunted doll moves head on camera

This short but creepy video captures a girl holding a doll when it suddenly moves its head by itself. The video went viral when first uploaded, and is known as a classic scary internet video. Annabelle could never.

5. The House with No Windows

Uploaded in January of 2025, this video follows a person entering a bright yellow house with no windows. We watch as this person explores the strange house, finding chairs and tables in odd places and doors that you can’t reach. However, what resides in that house is a mystery throughout the whole video. Watch if you dare to find out…

6. Blank Room Soup

Good soup. This video shows a man with his face obscured eating soup and audibly crying while two mascots comfort him. The duration of this video is only a minute, but it’s long enough to leave shivers down your spine. People on the internet theorized that the two mascots are murderers and are forcing the man to eat soup made of his family; however, this video has been confirmed to be fake.

7. The Sidney Barber Tapes

This found footage short film has garnered over a million views since its upload on October 20, 2023. It follows a 19-year-old girl named Sydney as she explores an abandoned research facility, when she discovers something she wasn’t supposed to see…

8. Take Care

What is that creature? Is it a cat? A dragon? It’s uncertain. This video, although unsettling, is actually an amazing depiction of failing mental health, done in a horror art form. Check it out for yourself.

9. Mama Agnes

What would you do if your mom started acting weird? This short film depicts a girl trying to call her mom to tell her about a weird smell in the house. However, she soon will find out that her mom is actually home…or is she? This short film has over 10 million views, with many people in the comments discussing how impressive the short film is for being filmed in the daytime. You’ll just have to see for yourself how creepy this video is.

10. Car Commercial

If your friends didn’t trick you into watching this in middle school, then did you really have any friends?

11. Desiderio

Honestly, there’s not really a way to describe this video. You’ll just have to watch it.

12. wpkepkw

What is even going on in this video? It’s hard to tell. It appears to be a man’s blurred-out face, while the creepy ambient music gets louder and louder. It may or may not be a distorted version of the music video for the song “Never Gonna Give You Up” by Rick Astley. We can’t say that for certain, however.

13. Dolphin Man!

This might be the most disturbing video of all. The video portrays a man dressed as a dolphin while he repeatedly warns viewers to check outside their homes. In the background, we can hear the national emergency sound playing over and over again as it gets louder and more distorted. If you’re looking for a good scare, this video is for you.

Not tired of the creepy stuff? We have plenty more for you to choose from. Happy haunting!

Top 13 Scariest Things that Happened On Friday the 13th

13 Does and Don’ts to Know About Ouija Boards

2026 is quite the year for Friday the 13th. This year, we have 3 extremely unlucky days to choose from (sidenote: if you want to know when the next Friday the 13th is, check out our calendar). To honor this special/terrifying year, we have compiled a list of the 13 scariest IRL events that have happened on Friday the 13th in years past.

1. Double Whammy

On October 13th, 1972, Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571, chartered by an amateur rugby team, was on its way to Santiago, Chile, when it crashed into the Andes mountains in Argentina. Of the 45 passengers aboard, only 16 survived. For two months, the wreckage was nowhere to be found. When the survivors were finally located, it was discovered that the remaining people had resorted to cannibalism to survive.

On this same day, a second tragedy struck. Aeroflot Flight 217, a flight from Paris to Moscow, crashed when the plane failed to level off horizontally during landing. This caused speculation that the crew was somehow incapacitated or had lost control of the plane, although the official cause of the crash has not been discovered to this day. In total, all 164 passengers and 10 crew members were killed. At the time, this was the deadliest plane crash to have ever happened.

I think what we can determine from these two calamities is not to board a flight on Friday the 13th. Nothing good ever seems to happen.

2. Don’t Ice Us Out

Another October Friday the 13th, possibly the unluckiest 13th you could have. On October 13th, 2006, a whopping 2 feet of snow had blanketed Buffalo, New York. This immense snowfall caused many problems for residents of the Buffalo area, including but not limited to: roads being impassable, 13 people dying (one of those people being crushed by a tree), 400,000 people left without power, and more. This day had a heavy impact on the city of Buffalo, leaving devastating effects on the environment and city infrastructure.

3. Sorry, Daz

Daz Baxter was a superstitious guy who preferred to stay home in bed on Friday the 13th. Well, on August 13th, 1976, Daz was at home, getting ready to do exactly that, when he heard an alarming creak. Then, the unthinkable happened – the entire apartment complex collapsed. Baxter, who had spent his entire life trying to avoid the curse of the 13th, fell 6 stories to his death. He couldn’t even stay safe in his own home. If only he had a Friday the 13th survival kit on hand…

4. Hasta Luego, Concordia or Abandon Ship

The Costa Concorida was a one-of-a-kind Italian cruise ship, weighing 114,137 tons. This mighty ship was one of the biggest built in Italy in its time, until its demise. On January 13, 2012, the Costa Concordia hit a rock in the Tyrrhenian Sea, just off the shore of the Isola del Giglio, causing a massive tear in the hull. Subsequently, the ship began flooding, causing panic amongst its passengers. The evacuation took 6 hours, and 32 people were deceased. The ship’s captain, Francesco Schettino, was found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to 16 years in prison.

5. Long Live the Queen

Even the royal family is not safe from the unlucky #13. On September 13, 1940, Queen Elizabeth and King George VI were enjoying a royal breakfast when the famous Buckingham Palace was bombed. At the time, Nazi Germany was in full force and targeting the British Monarch. In total, five bombs were dropped, injuring four people and killing one more. However, the Queen and King were both unharmed.

6. Rest in Peace, Kitty

Catherine “Kitty” Genovese was a 28-year-old bartender living in New York City. On March 13, 1964, Kitty was outside her apartment when she was brutally attacked and stabbed to death. According to The New York Times, over 37 people heard Kitty’s cries and screams, but no one stepped in to help. This led to what we now call the “bystander effect,” or sometimes also known as “Genovese syndrome.” The man who murdered Kitty,  29-year-old Winston Moseley, was arrested for an unrelated burglary, and later confessed to his crime in jail. He was sentenced to death, but later died in prison at the age of 81. He served a 52-year-long sentence.

7. No More California Love

Famous rapper and political activist Tupac Shakur was riding in a Black BMW with his friend, Suge Knight, when he was shot four times. The incident occurred on September 7, 1996, in Las Vegas, Nevada, after Tupac attended a wrestling match. Apparently, while leaving the match, Tupac got into a fight with Orlando Anderson, a member of the South Side Compton Crips gang. It’s suspected that the shooter was also a member of the gang, although a killer has never been officially determined. Tupac died on September 13, 1996, at the age of 25, shocking the world.

8. Mask Up

March 13, 2020, is an infamous date in United States history. It was the day that a national emergency was declared due to the coronavirus. This mandated lockdown was in place for over a year, depriving everyone of their sense of normalcy and routine.

9. Don’t Try to Ride This Cyclone

The 1970 Bhola Cyclone is known for being the deadliest tropical cyclone in history. It killed over 500,000 people in Bangladesh and caused immense damage. It affected over 3.6 million people, and the damage cost over 86.4 million US dollars at the time (now estimated to be 701 million). Thousands of homes were destroyed, and most people relied on food aid for months after the storm.

10. Look Out, Below!

American daredevil Sam Patch was known for jumping from great heights. Well, what was his passion ended up killing him. On November 13, 1829, Patch jumped into the Genesee River, but never resurfaced. Onlookers suspected that Patch had hidden in a nearby cave to stir up excitement, but his frozen remains were discovered a year later. Although an official cause of death is unknown, it is most likely that he died from blunt force trauma and/or drowning. Maybe stay on the ground next time, Sam?

11. Burned Alive

On October 13, 1307, King Philip IV of France ordered his officers to arrest hundreds of the Knights Templar, which was a powerful military order formed to defend the Holy Land. The Templars were tortured and interrogated, and the King later had these convicts executed by burning at the stake. It’s suspected he killed them for financial gain.

12. A Black Friday

Victoria, Australia, suffered greatly after a massive wildfire clouded the city. In total, 71 people died, and thousands lost their homes. Over 4,900,000 acres were destroyed. The event occurred on January 13, 1939, and has been nicknamed “Black Friday.” This was recorded as the 3rd deadliest fire in Australian history, right behind the 1983 Ash Wednesday Bushfires and the 2009 Black Saturday Bushfires.

13. A Day of Despair

The worst day of all. On December 13, 1974, our FrightFind partner/cofounder Joel Caudill was born. This is known as the darkest day in history, filled with anguish and despair. If you see him on the street, turn around and run. He might get you.

A mystic board that allows you to communicate with spirits? Sounds dangerous. And fun.

What is a Ouija Board?

The Ouija board (also dubbed the “talking board”) debuted in the late 1800s, patented by the Kennard Novelty Company. The Ouija is a flat wooden board marked with numbers, letters, and the words “yes” and “no.” It comes with a planchette, a heart-shaped piece of wood used to spell out messages. This board is believed to allow people to communicate with the paranormal. The Ouija board gained popularity in the Spiritualist movement, and by 1886, it was used regularly by spiritualists.

However, the board has been heavily criticized by religious groups, who claim the board invites demons and evil spirits into users’ homes. Many discourage using the board for these reasons. Additionally, many accuse the board of being a complete sham. Despite this controversy, the board is used by mediums and spiritualists in modern-day.

Rules of the Ouija Board

Whether you believe in the board’s authenticity or not, you must proceed with caution if you dare to use the Ouija Board. Here, we compiled a list of dos and don’ts for using Ouija boards to help the brave (or foolish) souls who dare to try.

  1. DON’T use a Ouija board alone. Isolating yourself can cause an overbalance of power and make you more vulnerable.
  2. DO use the board in a group. Having two or more people means the paranormal won’t be as overwhelming. Plus, you know what they say: the more the merrier.
  3. DON’T use the board when you are feeling under the weather. This makes you more susceptible to possession.
  4. DO some grounding exercises before you begin. Try meditating and breathing exercises. This will keep you calm and create positive energy in your space.
  5. DON’T taunt or antagonize the paranormal. They will get angry, and you will pay.
  6. DO, if necessary, properly dispose of the Ouija. Don’t just throw the board in the trash. It will come back to haunt you. Instead, you may bury the board face down in cloth and cover the hole with salt. Or, you can donate it to someone else. Although we’re not entirely sure someone else would want it.
  7. DON’T use the board in your home. You don’t want to risk having those spirits lingering in your vicinity.
  8. DO light white candles. They bring positive energy and offer protection to the users.
  9. DON’T use the board for longer than 15-30 minutes at a time. Using it for any longer than that may cause exhaustion for the users and lower the quality of communication with the dead.
  10. DO contact a spiritual leader or paranormal expert if you run into any evil spirits. They’re the ones who know how to deal with these things.
  11. DON’T force the planchette (A.K.A. the device that spells out words) to move. Lightly linger your fingers on the wood and allow movement to occur naturally. You don’t want to end up with any false messages.
  12. DO cleanse the board with sage after use. This will help remove any lingering ghosts or bad energy from the board.
  13. DON’T forget to close your time with the board. Be polite and say “goodbye” to the spirits. Otherwise, they might stay behind to haunt you.

Conclusion

Follow the rules. If you decide to use the Ouija board, be smart about it. If not, say hello to your new roommates…A.K.A. the demons you just welcomed in your home. Good luck, and happy haunting!

What would you do if you ended up in a never-ending alternate dimension?

In the latest A24 movie directed by Kane Parsons, Clark (Chiwetel Ejiofor) vanishes into the maze of the backrooms. His therapist, Dr. Mary Kline (Renate Reinsve), chases after him and finds herself in an otherworldly liminal space.

Who knows where Clark could have ended up? The Backrooms are seemingly infinite. Will he and Dr. Kline make it out, or become trapped forever in the stench of moist carpet, yellow walls, and the unnerving sound of buzzing overhead lights?

The History of Backrooms

The Backrooms were originally a Creepypasta created in 2019 by an unknown 4chan user. The original story goes as follows:

“If you’re not careful and you noclip out of reality in the wrong areas, you’ll end up in the Backrooms, where it’s nothing but the stink of old moist carpet, the madness of mono-yellow, the endless background noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz, and approximately six hundred million square miles of randomly segmented empty rooms to be trapped in
God save you if you hear something wandering around nearby, because it sure as hell has heard you”

Creepy yet fascinating, right? This story blew up, and the Backrooms became an internet phenomenon across platforms, creating a large fandom, and users began creating their own versions of the Backrooms.

Who is Kane Parsons?

Kane Parsons is the mind behind this film. Parsons (known as “Kane Pixels” on YouTube) is famous for his viral internet series that popularized the Backrooms. Then, Parsons was just 16 years old, gaining (as of now) millions of views on YouTube. The Backrooms fandom highly praises his work for its clever found footage approach and eerie atmosphere. Parsons has garnered 3.07 million subscribers on YouTube and even won a Streamy award in 2022. In February of 2023, A24 announced the film adaptation of the Backrooms, with Parsons as the director.

Parsons is the youngest director in A24’s history, at just 20 years old. We can’t wait to see his fantastic work when the movie is released.

The Cast of Backrooms

  • Chiwetel Ejiofor as Clark, an unsuccessful architect and store owner. He is known for 12 Years a Slave, Doctor Strange, and The Martian
  • Renate Reinsve as Dr. Mary Kline, Clark’s therapist. She is known for Sentimental Value, The Worst Person in the World, and A Different Man.
  • Finn Bennett as Bobby. He is known for Warfare, “True Detective”, and Hope Gap.
  • Lukita Maxwell as Kat. She is known for Afraid, “Shrinking”, and An Autumn Summer.

We can’t wait to see their work in this highly anticipated film.

Release Date

We are just a little over a week away from Backrooms’ release in theaters. Have your movie ticket ready by May 29, 2026, to see one of the year’s most highly anticipated movies.

You know what they always say – be careful what you wish for.

In the newest and hottest horror movie, Obsession, Bear (Michael Johnston) uses a “one wish willow” to get his crush, Nikki (Inde Navarrette), to like him back. However, his dream slowly turns into a nightmare as Nikki becomes disturbingly obsessed with him.

The Twisted Mind Behind Obsession

Who is behind everyone’s latest horror obsession? American actor, director, and comedian Curry Barker is the film’s director. Barker began creating films and sketch comedies on YouTube alongside Cooper Tomlinson. They are known for their YouTube channel titled “that’s a bad idea”, which currently has 1.13 million subscribers.

Before becoming a director, Barker made some TV acting appearances in “Dave” and “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”. Barker made his directorial debut in 2024 with his found-footage film, Milk & Serial. This thriller went viral on YouTube, which led to Barker being noticed by United Talent Agency. He then directed Obsession in 2025, originally screened at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival. Only a few days later, Focus Features bought the film’s distribution rights, and the rest is history.

Barker is a phenomenal director, and we can’t wait to see his next project.

The Obsession Cast

This cast delivers a groundbreaking performance and will surely have you wishing you had never bought your movie ticket.

  • Michael Johnston stars as Bear in this movie, the hopeless romantic who discovers how crazy love can be. Some notable works: “Teen Wolf”, Slash, and Endangered Species.

The Evil Dead franchise is returning with the latest installment, Evil Dead Burn, hitting theaters on July 24th, 2026, and we are over the moon.

What will Evil Dead Burn be about?

Thus far, the makers of Evil Dead Burn are being secretive. We do not have any details about the plot, but we fully expect the deadites to be on the loose, wreaking havoc as usual.

The Minds Behind Evil Dead

American filmmaker Sam Raimi created the first three installments of the Evil Dead series in the 1980s. It wasn’t until 20 years later, when director Fede Alvarez brought the series back in 2013. The series was reignited by Lee Cronin in 2023 with Evil Dead Rise. Now, Evil Dead Burn is directed by French director and filmmaker Sébastien Vanicek. Vanicek is famous for his work on the French film Infested. We are pumped to see his work in this next film.

Will Bruce Campbell be in Evil Dead Burn?

Judging by his lack of appearance (although he had a very short-lived off-screen cameo) in Evil Dead Rise and a recent stepping back from the stage due to health reasons, it is likely that Bruce Campbell will not make a major return to the series he established. When asked if he would be back, he told Forbes, “I’m actually doing my own thing now…” The series is not the same without him, but it gives a new, younger generation of stars to have their moment to shine.

The Stars of Evil Dead Burn

We will see fresh new faces in this film. The cast of Evil Dead Burn features an elite array of actors and actresses, who we expect to deliver some killer performances.

  • Hunter Doohan stars as Joseph in this film. Some of his notable works include “Wednesday,” “Daredevil: Born Again,” and “Your Honor.”
  • Souheila Yacoub stars as Alice. Yacoub’s credits are Dune: Part Two, Climax, and Planet B.
  • Tandi Wright is Susan in this film. Previous films include Pearl, Love and Monsters, and Jack the Giant Slayer.
  • Erroll Shand plays Edgar Price. He previously starred in “The Twelve,” “Our Flag Means Death,” and “The Clearing.”

We are eager to jump out of our seats while watching these stars on the silver screen.

Evil Dead Burn Trailer:

Sadly, we do not have any trailers yet. Hopefully, we will get a sneak peek at the film sometime soon. However, as a sidenote, do not fall for the AI trailers starring Kristin Stewart.

It’s your favorite cursed day again… Friday the 13th has returned. And if you’re reading this, it’s probably already too late for you. But hey, let’s go over the rules anyway—just in case you want to survive until Saturday.

Things You Probably Shouldn’t Do On Friday The 13th

  1. Let’s get this one out of the way. Black cat crosses your path? No! Or any cat, for that matter. You should know this.
  2. Feel like a camping trip? Just go to the mall instead.
  3. I know the weather is warming up, and that rowboat on the foggy lake looks enticing. Don’t do it!
  4. Don’t be a camp counselor. If so, think more Meatballs and less Camp Crystal Lake.
  5. Stay together. Your girlfriend will split up with you after the summer, but for tonight, you are a team.
  6. Never say, “It’s fine, I’m just going to take a look around.” Prepare to meet your maker.
  7. Sex isn’t a good idea. You can wait.
  8. Drinking and getting high are a huge no-no. Unless you have given up. In that case, smoke them if you got them.
  9. Don’t run. The axe-wielding sociopath walks, but somehow gets wherever you are going first. Physics? Nope—Friday the 13th logic.
  10. Respect everyone in a mask. Everyone!
  11. Don’t be a jock. That letterman’s jacket is basically a bullseye.
  12. You hear something in the woods? Leave it there.
  13. Falling asleep may sound like a good idea, but it will end with you not waking up.
  14. Creepy local guy warning you about going into that house? You can trust him today and only today.

Friday the 13th Rules Recap

Cats are spawned from hell. Camping is bad. Most bodies of water are lethal. You are too old for sleepaway camp anyway. Groups are your friend. Looking around will find nothing you want. Just say no to sex and drugs, today anyway. Running will kill you. Hold people with masks in high regard.  Your athleticism is not to be advertised. Sleeping is your enemy tonight. The creepy neighborhood guy isn’t lying to you.

Wondering when the next Friday the 13th is? Or maybe you are wondering when the next Friday the 13th is through 2050? Find out here.

A Boy’s Voice Trapped in a Man’s Body

Alessandro Moreschi, born January 11, 1858, in Monte Compatri, Italy, is known as the last ever castrato singer. As a young boy, Moreschi loved to sing and would often practice in the chapel of the Madonna del Castagno. Castrated when he was young, Moreschi was known for his mezzo-soprano vocals. Alessandro’s voice is known to be the only ever recorded castrato, making the recordings haunting to hear.

What is a Castrato?

A castrato was a male singer who was castrated before puberty. Prepubertal castration resulted in a distinct vocal physiology with adult lung capacity and a higher register, which caused a sound unattainable by many women and men. Many speculate that castrations were performed to prevent or deter women from singing in churches; there’s no concrete evidence to back these claims.

Listen to the Voice of the Last Castrato

It’s sad and a bit scary to consider you’re listening to this man’s voice from a century ago. Listen to the Last Castrato on TikTok.

Do Castratos Still Exist?

Fortunately, castration to preserve male voices is no longer a practice. The Vatican officially banned castrati in 1903, deeming it a brutal and inhumane practice, and Moreschi, the last castrato, died on April 21, 1922. Although many people will look back on castration and see it as a sad and horrific act, Moreschi did not let it hold him back. Alessandro sang lead in his church choir, served as a Director of Soloists, had rave reviews in his prime, married and adopted a son, and, by most accounts, seemed very happy. The times were different back then.

What are the chances that Netflix and the Duffer Brothers rolled out the Stranger Things series finale only to pull an old switcheroo and drop another episode on us? To many fans, it is looking more and more like a 2nd Christmas is coming. Is Netflix dropping the “real” final episode on January 7th? Welcome to Conformity Gate.

What Exactly Is Stranger Things’ Conformity Gate?

According to a growing number of fans across the interweb, Conformity Gate is a theory that the entire Stranger Things season epilogue was just a Vecna-crafted illusion, a psychic trap meant to put the characters, and all of us, into a false sense of closure and peace. In other words, Vecna may not be done with Hawkins, or us.

Stranger Things Conformity Gate Theory

The Graduation Imagery

During the Hawkins High School graduation, many characters are seen standing with an oddly familiar pose.  The stance mirrors how Vecna-controlled characters were standing with their hands clasped in front of them.

Stranger Things Conformity Gate

Many fans are bothered by the orange graduation gowns, looking more like prison jump suits. Are they under Vecna’s control?

A Calm Ending

Many fans have made note of the calmness of the last few scenes. There seems to be an unrealistic calm that flows through the final episode that reminds us of earlier seasons that used the same calm to represent altered realities.

The Number 7

The number seven is used repeatedly throughout, including a dice showing 7 at the conclusion of the episode. This could be a reference to the very first season 1 episode, where Will rolls a 7, and is then taken to the Upside Down. Or does it mean that we will be seeing the real finale on January 7th?!?!

The Final Episode Book Spines

Stranger Things Conformity Gate

In the final episode, fans noticed that the row of Dungeons & Dragons manuals spells out ” X A LIE”, meaning that Dimension X is a lie.

Prop Changes

Did you notice the color of the voltage meter at the radio tower changes from black to red? Just a mistake by the Duffer Brothers? Or are we seeing Vecna’s fake memories?

Will’s Monologue

In Will’s monologue, he mentions getting milkshakes at “Melvald’s”, which is a general store, but was a diner during Henry Creel’s childhood. Is he remembering Henry’s past?

Henry’s Look

Mike and some of the other Wheelers appear with shorter haircuts and glasses, resembling Henry Creel’s 1950s image. Are they under his control?

Fake Ending

While on Netflix, search for “fake ending”,  and Stranger Things comes up as a Top Result. Coincidence?

Is Conformity Gate Real?

Netflix and the Duffer Brothers have NOT confirmed that there will be a new Stranger Things Season Finale dropping on January 7th. Maybe they are telling the truth, or maybe this will end up being the greatest gotcha moment in television and streaming history. Time will tell.

Just when you thought you saw the last of Ed and Lorraine Warren, the studio pulls you back in again with a new Conjuring prequelWith Last Rites smashing global box office records, pulling in $194 million worldwide in its opening weekend and grossing over $480 million worldwide, it is now one of the most successful horror films ever made. I guess they know we want more now?

The Conjuring Lives On: A Look Before The Warrens

While Last Rites was the Warrens’ “final chapter”, the prequel will focus on the real-life paranormal investigator’s early years. Word on the street is that the film will feature new actors, replacing Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson, who have played the Warrens since 2013’s The Conjuring premiere.  Both actors have hinted that their Conjuring journey has ended, with Farmiga saying, “Far as we know, there’s nothing else that they want from us.

Now the question is, who will be replacing them? We have some of our own ideas, but we will all have to be patient and wait. Check back for updates.

The Team Behind the Terror

The prequel is set to be directed by Rodrigue Huart, with the script written by Richard Naing and Ian Goldberg, the duo behind The Nun 2 and Last Rites.  With their proven track record of blending a quality character-driven story with supernatural dread, horror fans can expect the same terrifying and chilling atmosphere that made us all fall in love with the series.

Expanding The Conjuring Universe

The terror isn’t stopping at the big screen. HBO is developing a Conjuring universe series, ensuring that the Warrens’ legacy continues on multiple platforms. With both a prequel film and an online series coming, the franchise is evolving into something bigger than we ever expected. Our baby is all grown up!

When Is The Conjuring Prequel Release Date?

Little is known yet about when we might catch The Warrens on the big screen again. Since the project is still in early developement, insiders suggest that the film won’t likely be released until late 2026 or even 2027. We will update you as soon as we know more. Stay tuned!

Woods of Terror in Greensboro, North Carolina, has been treating the locals, and let’s face it, anyone within 500 miles, to one of the greatest and most terrifying haunted houses in the country. With 16 haunted attractions, amazing sets, and top-notch actors, Woods of Terror is a must-see haunt for any haunted house enthusiast.

FrighFind had the honor of attending Behind the Terror: Daytime Influencer Experience at Woods of Terror, where we were able to take a peek behind the curtain and see what makes WOT click.

Woods of Terror: Behind the Terror

Upon arrival, we were checked in and then went right into a presentation by Woods of Terror owner and icon, Eddie McLaurin (Bone Daddy). This man has been scaring North Carolina for so long that some believe he may have invented Halloween. We did not get verification on that theory.

We also heard from legendary haunter Allen Hopps of The Dark Hour haunted house in Plano, Texas, as well as Stilt Beast Studios. We especially appreciated Allen’s take on haunted attractions when he said, “People don’t come to haunted houses to get scared; they are already scared in life. They come for the laugh and the release that comes after the scare. It’s therapeutic.”

The Tour

It was now time to tour this iconic haunt and all of its gory glory. One thing we noticed right away was the amazing attention to detail. Not only are most of the props real, i.e., animal skulls, crash carts, and chainsaws, but the sets are also beautiful. Eleven’s Nightmare, although not the most terrifying attraction, was a standout and will blow any Stranger Things fans’ minds.

Woods of Terror - Eleven's Nightmare

Adding to the creepy ambiance, WOT does a stellar job of attacking your senses. The music, sound effects, and even smells added to the overall experience in ways that we rarely see. The sound of the pig eating at the Texas House attraction was genuinely unsettling.

The standout of the tour was Baba Yaga. This is going to be a real hit with guests, er, I mean victims. The amazing design, originality, and detail made this our favorite stop of the tour. We will say no more. Just go see it!

Scares and A Show!

After the terrifying and glorious haunt tour, we were treated to a show. The band was already set up, and it wasn’t long before Bone Daddy made another appearance on the stage.  Not only was he ceremoniously brought out in a coffin, but he sprang out onto the stage to join the band. What more could you ask for?!?!

Woods of Terror Bone Daddy

While the band played, we were treated to a parade of haunt performers who made their way through the crowd. There was mingling, there was scaring, there was unadulterated gore. It was magnificent.
