Summer Camp Just Got Deadlier – Crystal Lake Returns

Some summer camps make memories – Camp Crystal Lake, on the other hand? You die.

Welcome back to Camp Crystal Lake, where the nightmare behind Friday the 13th begins. Peacock’s new series Crystal Lake takes horror fans back to the most killer summer ever. This is one camp you may want to miss.

A Campground With a Bloody Past

Long before Jason Voorhees became the hockey-mask-wearing terror we know today, there was Pamela Voorhees.

Starring Linda Cardellini as Jason’s mother, Crystal Lake is an eight-episode prequel to the iconic Friday the 13th franchise. The story follows Pam a year after her son drowns in the town’s lake. Consumed by grief, she struggles to move on — until two strangers begin questioning her past.

Soon, unsettling events begin to shake the quiet town, leaving residents wondering who Pamela really is…and what secrets Crystal Lake hides.

Created by Brad Caleb Kane and produced by A24 and Peacock, the series gives fans a new outlook on the elusive  (and terrifying) Jason Voorhees.
