The Evil Dead franchise is returning with the latest installment, Evil Dead Burn, hitting theaters on July 24th, 2026, and we are over the moon.
Thus far, the makers of Evil Dead Burn are being secretive. We do not have any details about the plot, but we fully expect the deadites to be on the loose, wreaking havoc as usual.
American filmmaker Sam Raimi created the first three installments of the Evil Dead series in the 1980s. It wasn’t until 20 years later, when director Fede Alvarez brought the series back in 2013. The series was reignited by Lee Cronin in 2023 with Evil Dead Rise. Now, Evil Dead Burn is directed by French director and filmmaker Sébastien Vanicek. Vanicek is famous for his work on the French film Infested. We are pumped to see his work in this next film.
Judging by his lack of appearance (although he had a very short-lived off-screen cameo) in Evil Dead Rise and a recent stepping back from the stage due to health reasons, it is likely that Bruce Campbell will not make a major return to the series he established. When asked if he would be back, he told Forbes, “I’m actually doing my own thing now…” The series is not the same without him, but it gives a new, younger generation of stars to have their moment to shine.
We will see fresh new faces in this film. The cast of Evil Dead Burn features an elite array of actors and actresses, who we expect to deliver some killer performances.
We are eager to jump out of our seats while watching these stars on the silver screen.
Sadly, we do not have any trailers yet. Hopefully, we will get a sneak peek at the film sometime soon. However, as a sidenote, do not fall for the AI trailers starring Kristin Stewart.
