Enter the Woods of Terror: North Carolina’s Ultimate Haunted Experience

As the moon rises over Greensboro, North Carolina, a chilling wind whispers through the trees, beckoning the brave and the foolish alike to enter the Woods of Terror. This haunted house theme park, located on North Church Street, is not for the faint of heart. With its spine-tingling attractions and eerie atmosphere, it promises a night of fright that you won’t soon forget.

Woods of Terror Attractions

The Woods of Terror features 15 unique haunted attractions, each more terrifying than the last. As you step into the darkness, you’ll encounter:

  • Jack’s Revenge: Beneath the Woods of Terror, an evil force is growing, twisting and corrupting the soil as the Pumpkin King returns to place souls into pumpkins and feed misbehaved children to himself, while his cult seeks revenge on those who don’t believe in the spirit of Halloween, in a 50’s style attraction filled with thrills, chills, and large-scale creatures.
  • Hardwired: A deranged government A.I. programmer has unleashed an intelligent A.I. that views humans as a virus and uses their organic tissue to enhance itself—can you escape its clutches or become another part of the machine?
  • 3D Euphoria: Bone Daddy has gathered the most twisted clowns from across the Americas under one roof, where they’ll do anything for a laugh or a scream, and with 3D glasses, you’ll navigate a pandemonium reminiscent of old fun houses, where nothing is as it seems and the clowns don’t always make you smile.
  • Eleven’s Nightmare: Inspired by the cult hit Stranger Things, journey into Eleven’s hallucinations and navigate the Creel family’s house, now engulfed by the Upside Down, where you must fight through haunting visions and face her nemesis to escape this nightmare with your sanity intact—can you survive as Eleven, or will you succumb to Vecna?
  • The Mortuary: Welcome to the procession; please be seated as the funeral commences immediately—rest assured, we provide all your funeral needs from an in-house crematorium to an embalming station, and if you wish to linger, feel free to stroll through our crypt, where there’s always room for one more.
  • Horrorwood Cinema Grande: Ever wanted to experience being on the set of your favorite slasher, hacker, or serial killer movie? Step into the action and explore iconic cinematic locations featuring four horror legends—they guarantee it’s so real, that you’ll feel like you’re in the movies!
  • Pirates Cove: Anyone who enters is doomed, as the pirates have arrived with a curse – ‘The Plague!’ Cursed by the voodoo queen Calypso, these scurvy pirates are fated to roam the port city, infecting everyone they meet. The only escape from their clutches is through their ship, but one wrong move will have you walking the plank to a watery grave.
  • Miners Massacre: The days are long, but the nights stretch even longer, especially under a full moon. Legends speak of a gold-rich mine, but with its riches comes a hairy curse. Those who attempt to harvest the gold transform into beasts, be it Werewolves or Skinwalkers. Deep within these caverns, there is no escape. Can you find your way out, or will you end up howling at the moon with a craving for human flesh?
  • Texas House: Venture too far into the woods, and you might stumble upon the Texas house, a sinister abode on the edge of nowhere, home to one of the most twisted cannibal families in American history. Inspired by films like Texas Chainsaw Massacre and American Gothic, this attraction will get your blood pumping with chainsaw-wielding killers and man-eating cannibals. Even Ed Gein would find this nightmare-inducing.
  • Sensory Overload: Have you ever been pushed to the brink of insanity, your senses tested beyond their limits? The doctor has a special experiment in mind for you. Can your mind withstand the onslaught of Sensory Overload, or will you become just another patient at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital?
  • Brookhaven Memorial Hospital: Once a prestigious institution for mental studies, renowned for its cutting-edge lobotomies, shock therapy, and psychotropics, Brookhaven has now become a shadow of its former self, infamous for heinous atrocities. This asylum of the criminally insane has truly descended into madness, where the inmates run the madhouse and the doctors are the patients.
  • Necropolis: All New For 2024!
  • Fungus Among Us: All New For 2024!

But the terror doesn’t end there. The Monster Midway offers a brief respite with games, food, and entertainment, but beware—monsters are always lurking nearby.
