In 1902 the Vancouver Elks lodge was established.. due to popularity, it grew and moved to a bigger building. The spirits followed us there. Proven to be haunted by paranormal activity groups. We have transformed the basement based on  your nightmares coming to life. The whispers… are they actors? Or are they the spirits themselves? The cool breath on your neck? This year marks our 41st Annual Haunted House!!

In 1978, the ladies of the Sorosis Club came up with a fundraising idea that has grown into our Annual Haunted House. It was an instant hit for the residents in our community and they look forward to coming back every year. Many local residents have come through as children and are now sharing the experience with their own grandchildren!

H.H. Holmes World Fair 1893 – A Trip to Nowhere will open Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from Oct 17th through Oct 26th starting at 7:00PM. Visit our Facebook Page for specific times. Each year our theme is changed to entice our audience and challenge their fears. Visitors are impressed with the creativity and special effects. Our scare factor is right up there with Halloween Horror Nights!!

The crimes of H.H. Holmes are the stuff of horror movies.  A good looking businessman lures many out of town guests into his brand new, grand hotel. He took great pleasure personally showing them to their rooms which they soon discovered only opened from the outside.  The hotel is not at all what it seems: stairs to nowhere, rooms made into gas chambers, peepholes, trap doors and chutes that lead into the most sinister room of all…the basement! Be prepared to come face to face with murder, madness and magic! 

Located on close to 100 acres of dark, farmland, Miller’s Nightmare is an all in one Halloween experience. Board the mysterious night wagon and enjoy the journey to the debut of Miller Manor, a 4000 square foot haunted house. Wind through its hallways and corridors to discover the root of evil on the farm. Exit the Manor and get lost in the Infected Corn Crop leading to the Demented Forest. If you can find your way, catch the Night Wagon for your return back to safety.

We also offer a mini-escape room (Clown Escape) and a variety of carnival-style games with a dark twist. To warm your bones, a nightly bonfire awaits and indulge in our hot, fresh concessions, including Butterbeer. We hope to scare you soon!

For some reason, strange feelings and unexpected happenings keep occurring in an old event center. A cursory look into the history of the building revealed no murders, suicides, accidents, or deaths in general. What is causing this activity? No one had answers until more research into the location revealed that there was a cover-up of some very dark happenings in the late 1970s.

The epic poem Inferno opens on the evening of Good Friday in the year 1300. This Halloween, Hempstead House will transform into a hellish interpretation of one of the greatest pieces of western literature. You will experience Dante’s journey in this emotionally charged installation as you explore the hallways, rooms, and vast basement. It promises to be a wicked whirlwind of stunning visuals, hauntingly vivid original imagery, and powerful symbolism. It is up to you to explore and interpret each room and make this journey your own. What you find may shed light in this dark place and, hopefully, help you to find your way out of hell.

Phobia Haunted Trail is a haunted house attraction in Wilmington NC located at 3907 Shipyard Blvd.  The 2017 theme for Phobia Haunted trail is CarnEvil.  CarnEvil is 3 attractions in one.  It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to survive.  Phobia Haunted Trail is a Fall seasonal weekend attraction, check dates and times.  This is a live actor event.  You will experience scenes that some people find frightening and disturbing.  

Phobia Haunted Trail in Wilmington NC has scenes created to tap into your inner most fears.  Our guests will weave their way through the haunted trail and will be greeted by our live actors.  They will not touch you, but they will work to give you nightmares.  As you walk through the trail you will transition though various scenes sure to have you on edge not knowing where the next action will strike.  This year’s attraction will have our guests play in CarnEvil, a circus event created by disgruntled clowns from the Circus’ that have been shut down in recent years.  They are looking to get even.

There is again something strange happening in the woods by Cardinal Lanes on Shipyard Blvd.  Drivers in Wilmington, NC have reported seeing clowns walking into the woods.  Uber drivers have reported quite a few strange characters being dropped off by the woods at Cardinal Lanes Bowling Alley as well.  Residents keep hearing what sounds like Carnival music coming from the woods but nothing can be seen.  Many have started to fear that Dr. Luke Von Witz is at it again.  This is starting to sound “very similar” to last year says one unidentified resident.

Police are definitely on edge as more and more reports of strange activity come in on a daily basis.  They definitely feel like Dr. Luke Von Witz is back to his old tricks.  Detective James Klowny has urged residents to stay out of the woods.  He said “There is definitely something strange going on in the woods.  Until we get to the bottom of it, I urge everyone to stay away.  I have been in those woods during the day and they are creepy to say the least.  I keep thinking I see someone or something out of the corner of my eye but just haven’t been able to track it down”.  He said that he has found some very odd items strewn in the woods, “almost like a carnival was here”.

Detective James Klowny said they will get to the bottom of it and if it is in fact Dr. Luke Von Witz, he “wont let him get away again”.  He is also looking into several reports around the country from the various Circus’ that have shut down.  It seems that at their last performances all of the Circus’ have left the same message.  “We’ll see you again real soon, this is not our whits end.  You can’t pin us down for long.  The cardinal will fly again on Halloween.”  Detective James Klowny thinks there is a connection to Dr. Luke Von Witz.

Halloweentown in St Helens, OR

Disney’s Halloweentown truly exists in St Helens, Oregon. Each year, St Helens, Oregon transforms into the place that captured our imagination back in 1998 with a month long festival. October 1, the town becomes Halloweentown straight from the Halloween classic. Most of the St Helens was featured in the Halloweentown films and the city of St Helens has embraced the fame. Come for the lighting of the giant pumpkin in front of city hall and all of the other festivities. In 2017, a tribute will be held for Debbie Reynolds who recently passed away.
