Nightmare on 13th is no ordinary haunted house. With over 20 years of experience, the 36,000 square foot house of terror has had time to perfect doing just that. This freak show features the integrated teamwork of animated robots and a small army of live actors (or are they?) that follow, harass, and chase you through your most terrifying fantasies, popping up just when you think it is safe to let your guard down.

The Sioux Falls Jaycees have conducted the Annual Haunted House project since 1974.

There are two attractions this year!

HAUNTED HOUSE

The “house” consists of a series of mazes and theme rooms with props and characters that are designed to scare those brave enough to enter!

EMILY’S CLOSET

The “closet” is a 3-D experience consisting of mazes lined with airbrushed monsters giving you the impression that you are in a nightmare that you can’t escape.

The Story of the Nightmare at Gravity Hill Haunted House

As you enter the gates of the adjacent haunted fields of the Nightmare at Gravity Hill, it begins… 30 minutes of spine chilling walkable haunted trails and creepy themes and adventures… This not a hayride where you can hide from the creatures of the night..! Cost: $20.00/Express pass $30.00

Terror in the Dark Haunted House in South Dakota

Our 12,000 square foot walk through haunted house is filled with torture, torment, terrifying screams, and nightmares in a dark atmosphere filled with live actors, special effects, props, and more in the Soule Building at the Central States Fairgrounds in Rapid City, South Dakota.

We offer many money-saving opportunities. Opening Night admission on Thu. October 22nd is only $5.  The Dual Pass will save you $3 off the regular price of both attractions.  A canned food item will get you a buck off of admission to either attraction.

Don’t forget that if you pay online you will get the added value of going to the head of the line at the haunted house.  Terror in the Dark is proud to be the best value against any haunted attraction in the Black Hills.

Legend comes to life in Scream Factor Haunted Attraction. This show is put together with artifacts from the Braspitia family. Due to strange incidents that surround the objects, many people refuse to be in a room alone with the pieces; will you?

During the day, Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch are scare-free family fun. At dusk on Fridays and Saturdays in October, the maze transforms into The Dark Rows Haunted Corn Maze, where anyone traversing the labyrinth will quickly discover they are not alone.

The Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum Haunted House in Weston, West Virginia
