Tired of the same old, same old? You won’t feel the same way after a trip to Pirates of Emerson. Open for more than 20 years, the park boasts seven amazing haunted attractions, including a haunted house that is not for the faint of heart and plenty of thrills and chills.

California offers plenty for those who crave excitement and scares, but one of the best is Reign of Terror in Thousand Oaks. With scares surrounding you from all sides and the sounds of visitors’ screams hanging in the air, you’ll start shaking before you even get inside.

Scream Park California believes that bigger is better, which is why the park constantly expands and brings in new attractions. Big scares abound at the three different haunted houses on-site, but guests can also relax and have some fun with a cold drink and some live music and entertainment.

The 13th Floor Haunted House welcomes you to become one of the few and one of the brave who made it all the way to the end. Unlike other attractions that offer generic monsters and scares, all the scares here will stick with you long after you leave and find your way back home.

Some haunted houses claim they are shocking, but only Decimation Haunted House backs up that claim. Voted as the top haunted house in the state for two straight years, it incorporates never ending horror that starts at the front door and follows you around for weeks.

The gorgeous views of the mountains near Scream Acres might make you feel a little safe, but you definitely won’t feel safe as you work your way through this haunted trail. The screams of the deranged nearby and the rustling noises you hear will fill you with dread.

Terror in the Corn haunted house in Erie, Colorado

Terror in the Corn opened its doors in 2001 and has grown into one of the largest Haunted Attractions in Colorado. It is a three-part event you won’t soon forget. The experience begins by climbing into an interactive and totally enclosed trailer that drops you in the middle of a dark and sinister Corn Field. Those fortunate enough to escape its twisted paths are ‘welcomed’ into a Haunted Ghost Town where nightmares greet you at every turn. If you are faint of heart, you might prefer our second attraction, Zombie Paintball Hunt, shooting zombies from the relative safety of our Eradication Vehicle. We also offer a paintball gallery, escape rooms and much, much more… Located at Anderson Farms in Erie, a ticket for either attraction gives you the opportunity to spend the entire day with family and friends on the property enjoying our massive Fall Festival.

The Frightmare believes that it can always do better, which is why the owners add even more scares every year. You know that feeling you get in the middle of your chest when walking through the house late at night by yourself? Multiply that by 20 to get an idea of what this attraction offers.

Ready to go a little nutty? The Nuthouse has you covered. There is something dangerous and just downright scary about mental patients stalking you and following your every move. With the patients residing here, count yourself lucky if you manage to get to the back door and back to your home.

The Amityville Horror was just a movie, but the Amity Road Horror is something real and completely different. The footsteps you hear echoing and the doors you hear opening in the dark amp up the atmosphere and leave you wondering where the exit is and what might happen next.

Dark Manor Haunted House is not for the faint of heart, which is clear when the owners refuse to let those with pacemakers and heart conditions through. Chainsaw freaks and bloody zombies run loose through the graveyard, while screams and plenty of freaks abound inside its on-site haunted house.

What is that noise you hear in the dark? Is it the sound of your own heart beating or something a little more sinister? At Dark Walk, it’s likely a combination of both. The screams, cries for helps and moans you hear not only come from the resident monsters but from visitors too.
