The Haunted Aaron Burr House, Sir After killing Alexander Hamilton in an infamous pistol duel in 1804, Aaron Burr retreated to New Hope, where it is said that he stayed on the grounds of what is now called the Aaron Burr House Bed and Breakfast. The Ghost of Aaron Burr, Sir Witnesses report that the ghost of Aaron Burr has been seen roaming the house and peering around corners. The Haunted Riverside Inn is no more Unfortunately, the Riverside Inn was burned to the ground on May 2nd, 2017. The historic building was completely destroyed in the blaze. Built in 1880, the building had stood for ages and was an icon in the Cambridge Springs community. Spirits were known to open and close doors as well as some reports of ghosts attempting to crawl into bed with overnight guests.
