NIGHTMARE FACTORY, is a walk-through haunted attraction based on a turn-of-the-century industrial complex that manufactured a wide array of “questionable” products in the early 1900s. Burnt to the ground in 1923 by its tortured workers, “Albert Knight’s Factory” became one of American history’s greatest cover-ups.

The remains of the Factory were re-discovered in 2007 and the ghosts now welcome new visitors on a journey through the terrifying abandoned excavation site.

Featuring a range of live actors, horror movie scares, and Hollywood quality special effects. This interactive haunt is unlike anything in the world! Experience the fear with sights, sounds, smells… even touch!

Join the living and the dead for a night of frights as you navigate through dark corridors and encounter terrifying surprises at every turn. Get ready to face your fears and be immersed in a world of horror like never before! The 4th Annual Walk of Terror takes place at the Newport News Scottish Rite Masonic Center (65 Saunders Road) during the last three weekends in October. Doors open at 7 p.m. each night.

This annual fundraiser supports Old Dominion University’s Speech Therapy Program and is part of the RiteCare® Childhood Language Program sponsored by the Scottish Rite across the United States. The entire event is created and run completely by donations and volunteers.

Are you ready for the scare of your life?

With mutiple macabre scenes, talented scare actors, and detailed sets, we’re waiting to terrify you inside our bone chilling walls! No actor will touch you, so please be respectful and refrain from touching them. The recommended age for our main haunted attractions is 12. However, we trust parents to know what their children will enjoy.

18+ Nights Haunted House

If a regular haunted house leaves you wanting more try our 18 plus nights. It’s our main Halloween Show PLUS! Our actors WILL touch, grab, and engage you in more intense interactions. Must be 18 to attend and present a valid driver’s license or state ID.

Low-Scare Haunted House

Does the idea of a haunted house with actors lurking around the corner freak you out? Then come join us on a Low Scare Saturday. You’ll experience the haunted house with dim theater lighting, the animatronics on, but no live actors. Low Scare Saturdays are great for people who want less intensity, but still enjoy a bit of a scare. Many children are frightened at this level, while others love it. If you’re not sure, start with No Scare Sundays and come back for Low Scare Saturdays if your kids want more adventure. Kids 3 and under are free. Open on Saturdays in October and for special events during the year.

Lights On Behind The Scene Tour

Do you want to see how a haunted house operates behind the scenes? Are your kids interested in visiting a haunted house, but not quite ready? Our Sunday Lights on Tour is a great option. No actors will be jumping out, no animatronics will catch you off guard, and the house lights will be bright and welcoming. Come introduce your kids to a less scary version of a fall tradition and treat yourself toa behind the scenes look. Open during the day on Sundays in October. Kids 3 and under are free. Open Sundays in October and for special events during the year.

Are you ready to lose yourself in the madness?

The MAAC Foundation will be hosting the 4th Annual MAACabre Haunted Attraction, produced by Bogathy Productions. All ticket sales will benefit first responder training.

This year’s attraction will center around the theme “Childhood Nightmares” and feature 37 rooms throughout the course. General admission tickets cost $20 online and $25 at the door. Ticket sales will end at 9:30 pm. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

The MAAC Foundation is committed to facilitating training and skill enhancement on a comprehensive campus that is safe and inclusive to all first responders and the community.

Enter Haunted Prison NRV, the newest and most thrilling haunted attraction experience in the New River Valley. Every weekend until November 2, this abandoned prison in Fairlawn VA brings the eerie echoes of its dark past to life. As you navigate the haunted cell blocks, the Corrupted still reigns, you’ll face a challenge like no other as you try to make it out unscathed.

You and your fearless squad are on a rescue mission! Your friends are trapped in Zombie Land, surrounded by flesh-eating zombies, ferocious werewolves, and unspeakable monsters. Armed with our specially designed weapons that shoot acid bullets, it’s up to you to fight your way through the ominous zombie land and rescue your friends. Always watch your back—evil lurks around every corner. Muwahahahah

Groups of 6 will enter the maze at a time. Don’t worry if your party is larger; we’ll split you up for maximum fun and fright! Teamwork is key as you navigate the twists and turns of the haunted house. Will you emerge victorious, or become a feast for the undead?

(The max group size to go through at once is 6 people)

Attraction takes about 20 to 30 minutes on average to go through.

The haunted apple shed invites you to a chilling experience. Beginning October 12th, four Saturday nights will unleash terror. Gather your friends, but be prepared to provide mutual comfort.
