Located 17 minutes south of the Chicago Loop, this Halloween festival is the first of its kind in the region. Enter the festival if you dare through a block long graveyard scene…but be careful as you do, Zombies are everywhere! Once you get through, hopefully alive, you will be relieved to discover that you are inside the festival, a festival of food, fun, and shopping! (There’s a chicken entrance for those who don’t dare…)

Sinister Sidney – Frights on Filmore St., Premier Haunted Trail Attraction is an over half mile long outdoor attraction. 12 and up age restriction. A series of three haunted attractions located on the grounds of the VE Club in Warminster, PA.  The Forsaken Town, The Labyrinth,  and Purgatory.

Like a youthful child, the town started out perfect and happy. It grew slowly and with the contribution of the community’s hard work it was on the path to a bright future…until IT was unearthed upon expansion.  This is when things started to change.  The townsfolk INNER MONSTERS were starting to rear their ugly heads.  The ones that still could be saved stayed in the town–however the monsters continue to migrate into the woods….the sheriff put together this prison, Purgatory,  for the ones who have no hope, those who are unable to be saved, in attempt to keep the world safe from them, and the monsters safe from the world around them.

Nevada’s notorious Clown Motel sits between Reno and Las Vegas on highway 95 in the small town of Tonopah. The town of Tonopah was once a booming mining town with nearly 50,000 residents. It now sits at population of 2,500 and much of the town appears deserted. Most of Tonopah’s residents work for the military test range, which is just one of the things that makes this place so eerie. And then of course, there are the clowns!

The Clown Motel Neighbors a Century Old Cemetery

If a hotel sharing a parking lot with a cemetery that dates back to 1901 scares you, then a Clown Motel might be what puts you over the edge. The Clown Motel literally sits adjacent to a cemetery that stopped operating in 1911. The cemetery holds just over 300 plots and includes the grave marker of Sheriff Thomas Logan who was killed in a shoot-out in a town bordello. The souls of early settlers who fell victim to the unsolved “Tonopah Plague” of 1902 and the 14 miners who died in the Belmont Mine fire of 1911 are also laid to rest right next to one of the spookiest hotels you’ll set your eyes on.

Stay in the Clown Motel if you Dare

It’s a cheap stay and one you’ll remember. People hear screams in the night and there are many stories told about the creepy feeling you get when you’re sitting between the Clown Motel and the cemetery. The Motel was good enough for Ghost Adventures to take a look. They took a look at Room 204 when they visited.

• Request a room upstairs if you want a view of the cemetery.
• Want a postcard? Call and they’ll send you one.
• Zak Bagans and Ghost Adventures took a look at room 204 if you have a crush on Zak.
• There is no online booking so call ahead if you want to reserve a room.
• There may be actual clowns at the motel or in the parking lot. They may or may not work for the hotel.
• Don’t speed in town. It’s a trap!

One guest is no longer a skeptic after staying at this hotel. A couple was asleep when the woman woke to something like a dog, walking back and forth on her pillow. She tried to wake her partner who was in a deep sleep.

The next morning when she started telling him what happened, he stared at her. She thought he didn’t believe her until he said the same thing happened to him, and he was so terrified he didn’t move or try to wake her.

Surfing. Roasted pigs. Coconuts. Ghosts? There are if you stay at this haunted tropical paradise. Pay close attention to where you leave your luggage, it has a tendency to move while staying here. Guests also say that they have heard whispering in the halls and have witnessed strange lights moving throughout the hotel. At least you can escape to the beach if this haunted hotel is too much for you.
