What is Hemp Maze Minnesota?
Hemp Maze Minnesota was established to educate and inform the public about the benefits of a vibrant hemp industry in Minnesota. The maze is located at Willow’s Keep Farm just south of Zumbrota, MN on HWY 52 and will be open through Sunday, October 27th.
Minnesota Hemp Pilot Project
In 2015, the Minnesota Industrial Hemp Development Act (IHDA), Minnesota Statues 18K, became law. This allowed MDA to create an industrial hemp research pilot program in order to study the growth, cultivation, and marketing of industrial hemp. This law directed the commissioner of agriculture to make program rules, determine a fee structure, and perform testing and other regulatory activities.
Industrial hemp is defined as Cannabis sativa L. that contains no more than 0.3% delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).
Pilot participants are required to provide reports to MDA regarding seed varieties planted, agronomic findings, and any processing, distribution and sales of products. The 2018 Hemp Pilot Program Report is now available.
MDA obtained a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Schedule 1 Narcotic Research Registration in 2016. All hemp seed for the program is imported under MDA permits.
In 2016, there were 6 pilot participants in Minnesota who grew industrial hemp in MDA’s pilot program. It was a historic year, as we saw the harvest of approximately 40 acres of hemp in Minnesota for the first time since the 1950s. In 2017, there were 38 registered pilot participants, who grew 1,205 acres. In 2018, there were 51 registered pilot participants, who grew 700 acres.
2018 Farm Bill
Industrial Hemp will be removed from the Controlled Substances Act (CSA). It will be distinct from marijuana and recognized as an agricultural crop by the federal government.
States and Tribes will still oversee regulation of hemp production in their jurisdictions.
The Farm Bill frees up interstate movement of hemp seed, plants, and processed hemp products.
Hemp farmers will be eligible for crop insurance and grants through USDA.
Hemp Maze Minnesota is fully licensed. It is unlawful to remove any hemp from the pilot field. This includes seeds, leafs, or any other parts of the plants.

RED VEIN Attractions
Redvyn Asylum
In 1868, a wealthy, but mysterious proprietor opened Redvyn Asylum, one of the first mental hospitals in Virginia. Built in Hanover County, the hospital was situated close to the ruins of a reform school named Providence, which was founded by the late Emily Redvyn, who in 1795 was accused and executed for practicing witchcraft. Under the care of the physician Dr. Caine, only a select number of patients were admitted to the asylum and operations were extremely private. The asylum closed in 1871 as suddenly as it opened, leaving very few medical or historical records. Stories of the creepy doctor spread through the area and children would scare each other with nursery rhymes about Dr. Caine, aka Dr. Insane. This year, visit RED VEIN’s brand new indoor haunted house… Redvyn Asylum!
Rabbit’s Cry Field
In the cornfield surrounding Providence, many spirits protect their sacred land and its family’s secrets. Entities from long ago and creatures from the depths of hell now roam the grounds. Rabbit’s Cry Field is an outdoor corn maze filled with terrifying monsters and gory sets. New for 2018… visit the Bunny Man’s house and a trip through the forest behind the Butcher Brother’s Smokehouse.
Providence Home For Wayward Children
A small facility named Providence Home For Wayward Children was founded by Emily Redvyn in Hanover County in 1781. Providence was known to accept children who were abandoned, those with mental and physical handicaps, addictions, or just needing guidance. A century after Emily’s execution, Providence reopened in the 1930’s under new ownership. Step inside RED VEIN’s main indoor haunted house attraction, which includes over 35 highly detailed scenes, incredible scares, special effects, and screams around every corner. New for 2018… updated sets, more animatronics, characters, and an expanded basement where you’ll finally meet Emily in her true form!

There is again something strange happening in the woods by Cardinal Lanes on Shipyard Blvd. Drivers in Wilmington, NC have reported seeing clowns walking into the woods. Uber drivers have reported quite a few strange characters being dropped off by the woods at Cardinal Lanes Bowling Alley as well. Residents keep hearing what sounds like Carnival music coming from the woods but nothing can be seen. Many have started to fear that Dr. Luke Von Witz is at it again. This is starting to sound “very similar” to last year says one unidentified resident.
Police are definitely on edge as more and more reports of strange activity come in on a daily basis. They definitely feel like Dr. Luke Von Witz is back to his old tricks. Detective James Klowny has urged residents to stay out of the woods. He said “There is definitely something strange going on in the woods. Until we get to the bottom of it, I urge everyone to stay away. I have been in those woods during the day and they are creepy to say the least. I keep thinking I see someone or something out of the corner of my eye but just haven’t been able to track it down”. He said that he has found some very odd items strewn in the woods, “almost like a carnival was here”.
Detective James Klowny said they will get to the bottom of it and if it is in fact Dr. Luke Von Witz, he “wont let him get away again”. He is also looking into several reports around the country from the various Circus’ that have shut down. It seems that at their last performances all of the Circus’ have left the same message. “We’ll see you again real soon, this is not our whits end. You can’t pin us down for long. The cardinal will fly again on Halloween.” Detective James Klowny thinks there is a connection to Dr. Luke Von Witz.
