It’s not often that you find a hotel haunted by the ghost of a former prostitute, but the most famous ghost of the Copper Queen Hotel is that of a former working girl. Built in the late 1890s through early 1900s, this hotel was one of the nicest in the area and was a popular place for mining investors and managers to stay while visiting the local mines. Guests have complained of flickering lights in the rooms and very strange happenings. Guests have come back to their rooms to find all the lights on and the TV blasting. Things mysteriously turn on and off by themselves at very odd times as if someone, or something, is toying with them. The owners say that a woman is rumored to haunt the kitchen, walk the halls from time to time, and has been heard wailing in the ballroom. She may be the ghost of a woman who was caught cheating and killed by her husband in the Tucson Radisson hotel. Read more…
