Yuma Nightmares Haunted House in Yuma, AZ The Haunted House had a modest beginning in 2001 in Camelot Apartments with one person in a costume. We then moved to Sierra Sunset behind Cibola High School and progressed to a banquet table scene full of homemade mannequins with movie icons enjoying the dinner and I (Mark) pushed all the different animatronic gadgets with my finger or triggered them with a flashlight while patrons toured the “Haunted House” in 2002. Paranormal enthusiasts know that the best reason to visit the Hotel Congress in Tuscon is for Room 242, which is the hotel’s haunted room. Built in 1919, the old hotel played host to a number of guests over the years, but history buffs know the hotel because police once captured infamous bank robber John Dillinger there. Room 242, sometimes called the suicide room, was where a guest checked in and never checked out. We are a Home/Yard Haunt in Gilbert, AZ. Always FREE. We start at Dusk on Halloween night and end when the crowds are gone. Usually around 10pm. Started in 2001 or Home/Yard Haunt has grown and become a tradition in our family. We do this for the Passion of Halloween. Despite being in our 13th year, we are not in any way a professional Haunt.
