Located in rural Nebraska, just west of Gibbon on U.S. Hwy 30, the outdoor animatronic Halloween experience is set along an old wooded river which snakes through corn planted agricultural land and features an unsettling stroll through the creepy woods to the place of an abandoned zombie infested community, complete with a graveyard and many other modified community attractions and services. We have a Barn, and two other buildings all interconnected through a trail and cemetery. Average about 10-12 actors a night plus all the outside help. Scary Acres opened its gates in 2002. However its history in Omaha goes way back to the year 1993 and began with the Train of Terror at Peony Park on Cass St. The Scary Acres Management team was commissioned to run a Halloween Attraction within the Peony Amusement Park. The Train of Terror circled the park amidst fog and spider webs. Monsters were hiding in the dark along the entire trail and in the tunnel ready to frighten unaware train passengers.
