There’s no escape from the nightmares within DREAD HOLLOW. Chattanooga’s nationally ranked haunted house returns with three new nightmares, each one more blood-curdling and immersive than the last. The haunted house and escape rooms are open Thursday – Sunday nights, October 2 – November 2.
Bloodthirsty spirits cause chaos in the decaying Belle Royale Hotel, the undead seek revenge in the dark and damp Dreadwood Forest, and unspeakable evil roams the halls of Dread Hollow High School.

Dread Hollow is not recommended for children under the age of 12. Buy timed-entry tickets in advance online; walk-up tickets are not available at the door. Haunt admission includes all three haunted houses. Tickets and all the gory details at www.dreadhollow.com.
Pre-sale discount tickets for $22+tax are available until September 18! After September 18, tickets are $25+tax for all three haunted houses and $15 per person for escape rooms.
The Belle Royale Hotel
Rotting from the inside, the once magnificent Belle Royale Hotel reopens, cursed by vengeful spirits trapped within its decaying, blood-stained walls. Tortured souls unlock sealed doors, unleashing unimaginable madness. Guests become prey, and their desperate screams, a gruesome lullaby for the damned.

Dreadwood Forest
Shrouded in a dark and twisted past, the charred remains of the old crematorium conceal terrifying deeds. Rising from ashes, the tormented dead take revenge in Dreadwood Forest, stalking the living and beckoning the innocent to their permanent resting place in the lethal forest.

Dread Hollow High School – The Reckoning
The sacrifice of 13 souls at Dread Hollow High School ignites chaos and horror upon the town of Dread Hollow. Rage-fueled forces and evil’s infernal power consume the school, turning the campus into a terrifying battleground of nightmares.

For 20 years, Miami International Mall has served as the ideal spot for this spooky, month-long adventure. Those fun-filled nights only get better on the House of Horror midway where a ticket to the haunted experiences also gives family and friends access to unlimited carnival rides and games. It’s also where overindulgence is highly encouraged given the large assortment of treats and carnival foods. Just be sure to rally enough courage to ride The Fireball Rollercoaster, which is a first this year.
Beginning September 29 at 6PM, people can take their chances working their way through four terrifyingly, haunted experiences inside an abandoned department store at Miami International Mall. The following haunted experiences have been completely re-done to maximize their scare factor:
The Silent Mall – Shhh….This is where Misshhhell will unleash her own level of “hell”. Try and stay quiet, if you dare.
DrownTown – The undead are overflowing at this abandoned town seeking their revenge. Be quick about it, or risk becoming a permanent resident.

Scare X Studios – Cleared of “almost” all paranormal activity, this immersive experience is where gaming and imagination takes center stage.

Haunted History:
The Imogene Theater, 6866 Caroline St., Milton, suffered heavy structural damage in January 2009 from a devastating fire but was rebuilt several years later. This does not prevent people from seeing a man walking on the balcony or the ghost of young Imogene Gooch, the daughter of the man who bought the theater in the 1920s and the building’s namesake. The location is rumored to be built on an Indian burial ground.
The Imogene Theatre is a small timely open stage theatre that was opened in October of 1913 by the president of Milton’s First National Bank. The president decided to open this new auditorium because four years prior to opening it, there was a great fire that destroyed most of Milton’s commercial district and the president felt a new auditorium was necessary. When the building first opened it was titled the Milton Opera House. The early shows that made it to the opera house were mostly made up of traveling shows and silent moving pictures, the very first being The Passion Play, a depiction of the life of Christ. By 1921, the opera house was bought out by Mr. Gooch and was renamed the Imogene Theatre, after his younger daughter. Sadly, Mr. Gooch died months after the purchase but the name stuck.
By 1938, the Imogene Theatre became the first building in Milton to have central air conditioning. With the increasing amounts of technology and the creation of sound and color films, the Imogene projected its screens with classic movies. Some of the popular are Gone With the Wind and the Wizard of Oz. While these pictures were being shown upstairs, the first floor was being used as a retail space and was even home to the Milton Post Office for about 30 years. The theatre closed down years later in 1946 when a newer theatre was opened up down the road and the first floor became vacant in 1980.
In the years to follow, the Imogene Theatre had become old and decrepit. With a failing roof and plaster peeling off the building, it looked like an end to the once great theatre. But, in 1985 the building was purchased by the Santa Rosa Historical Society. The building was then restored by the historical society, with the help of some state grants, and was reopened in 1987.
