Nightmare Forest is Louisville’s longest-running outdoor haunted trail attraction, scaring visitors for 34 years from Brandenburg, KY — just 35 minutes from downtown Louisville. Walk our legendary haunted trail through cursed woods, face Hawthorne’s Circus Bizarre sideshow, conquer the haunted maze, and survive themed scare zones inspired by Hollywood horror — including Evil Dead, The Last of Us, Sinister, 13 Ghosts, Texas, Haddon Field, and Garnettsville Ghost Town. Test your aim at Nightmare Forest Axe Throwing, refuel at our concessions stand, and prove you can make it out alive.

This is a no-touch haunt — our actors get close enough to make you forget that rule, but they will never make contact. Recommended for ages 13 and up. VIP Speed Pass available to skip the line. Group rates and private bookings welcome for schools, churches, corporate events, and large parties.

Tickets will be $25.00 every weekend night we are open except for Halloween which will be $30.00 and that is BLACKOUT NIGHT. There will NO LIGHTS on the trail, each group of 4 will be given one glow stick.

Our unique forest trail features over 500 animatronics and props across 20+ immersive scenes, ensuring no two seasons are ever the same. Conveniently located near the Arden Ave exit off the Staten Island Expressway and Korean War Veterans Parkway, we’re easily accessible from both Brooklyn and New Jersey. Slaughtered Souls

Step foot into the Harris Family lake house sitting on the water’s edge and experience a home with secrets like no other. Avoid butcher Wade Harris, the Breed, and mental asylum escapee Finn as you make your way through a slaughterhouse of torture. This family reunion turns horrid as they reign havoc on all who cross their paths.

OLD STATE MINE is an all-outdoor trail based around the legend of an old mining village that was overtaken by an evil entity known as Doom. Journey down through time to unveil the origins of Doom’s evil plan for Assimilation! If you are not consumed by the ghostly fire, you will wind through the narrow paths leading through the Doom-infested Mine, then ascend into the haunted village, Old Town. Those who claw their way out will still be faced with the Demons and their Hell Hounds unleashed by the dimensional rip open in the Mine. 
 
Survivors that manage to drag themselves to the top of the bluff will arrive at DarkWell Museum. Although the Museum Curator suddenly locked the doors, exhibits have continued to be delivered to the boarded-up Museum. Many evil and haunted items which never made it off the loading docks are now free to inhabit the Museum grounds. Traverse through these ancient evils if you hope to survive!

You and your fearless squad are on a rescue mission! Your friends are trapped in Zombie Land, surrounded by flesh-eating zombies, ferocious werewolves, and unspeakable monsters. Armed with our specially designed weapons that shoot acid bullets, it’s up to you to fight your way through the ominous zombie land and rescue your friends. Always watch your back—evil lurks around every corner. Muwahahahah

Groups of 6 will enter the maze at a time. Don’t worry if your party is larger; we’ll split you up for maximum fun and fright! Teamwork is key as you navigate the twists and turns of the haunted house. Will you emerge victorious, or become a feast for the undead?

Twisted Tales of Terror will lead guests on a frightening journey that brings them along abandoned, historic buildings where they will encounter terrifying characters and sights and sounds that are not for the faint of heart.

Where Fairy Tales Turn into Nightmares

Within the moonlit landscape, where shadows dance with sinister glee, a dark carnival has risen, adorned with dreadful denizens of the freakshow, their souls as twisted as the maze of corridors they roam. Led by the enigmatic ringleader, they journeyed through the veil of night, collecting fairy tales like trophies to adorn their macabre stage. But in the ringleader’s hands, these tales morphed into grotesque parodies of their former selves, where happy endings are mere illusions, and despair reigns supreme.

Special Designated Sensory Friendly Trail Time Sunday, October 20

• The first timeslots of the night are Sensory Friendly Trail Times for families that would like to experience the trail without strobe lighting, overall lower volume levels of sounds, and scares that are not as intense.

• Time slots are 6:30 pm, 6:45 pm, 7 pm and 7:15 pm
