The lodge has been around since it was built in the 1926. At some unreported time in the past, there was a fire in the main lodge and a worker couldn’t escape from the fire. She died. It’s her ghost who is thought to haunt the lodge now. One guest reported to the store owner across the street that she was leaving the lodge because of an experience she had. For years, the bed and breakfast was haunted by solid apparitions as well as voices. The house was built on a location that used to house an entire Native American tribe that died when the settlers came to America. Most happenings are reported in rooms 302, 304 and 306. The ghosts are thought to be a monk who hung himself and a young girl waiting for her love to come back from the war. Today, guests as well as staff have reported hearing jazz and the sound of breaking glass from the 9th floor of the hotel. Whenever someone tries to investigate, the noise and music stops. Guests have seen apparitions in their rooms. In one room a paperweight levitates before hitting a glass table with a loud noise.
