A nearby location is said to be equally creepy. The McMillin family has a mausoleum where there is a dining room set up for the entire family. This bed and breakfast is considered one of the most haunted locations in Washington. It’s been featured in a documentary called Montgomery House: The Perfect Haunting. For years, the bed and breakfast was haunted by solid apparitions as well as voices. The house was built on a location that used to house an entire Native American tribe that died when the settlers came to America. The castle was built in 1892 and went from being a family home to a location for nuns then Jesuits. In 1968, it was turned into a hotel, and guests have reported many strange and unusual occurrences. Most happenings are reported in rooms 302, 304 and 306. The ghosts are thought to be a monk who hung himself and a young girl waiting for her love to come back from the war. Since this home was built in 1885, many families lived in the home but all of them were descendants of Robert Hill and his wife, Elizabeth. It wasn’t until 1980 that home was sold outside the family. It was turned into a bed and breakfast where guests reported seeing many spirits. In one of the upstairs bedrooms, guests have reported the smell of cigar smoke. There’s also a woman in a blue dress who is often seen at the top of the stairs to the second floor. She spends a lot of time haunting room four, which seems to be her favorite. The location of the film wasn’t a fluke. The castle has been the home to many ghost sightings, hauntings, floating orbs and mysterious happenings. Chester Thorne built the castle for his bride, Anna. Curbed Seattle named Hotel Andra one of Seattle’s most haunted hotels. The hotel was built in 1926. It was the time of prohibition and loud parties. Today, guests as well as staff have reported hearing jazz and the sound of breaking glass from the 9th floor of the hotel. Whenever someone tries to investigate, the noise and music stops. Guests have seen apparitions in their rooms. In one room a paperweight levitates before hitting a glass table with a loud noise. Many involve an older man who once lived in the hotel. On the sixth floor, guests have seen the man’s ghost flitting from one room to another. The Sorrento Hotel in Seattle, WA has been accepting guests since 1909. In the early days of the hotel’s existence, there weren’t any signs of apparitions or appearances. That changed when Alice B. Toklas died. She’s been seen haunting the halls of the Sorrento. Her family lived in the First Hill neighborhood in the late 1890s, which is where the Sorrento now stands. A woman and her two children are often seen in the hallways. They’ve caused mischief in many of the guest’s rooms.
