Haunted Places in Massachusetts
Massachusetts is the most populous state in all of New England, and it’s also the most haunted as well. Partially situated on the Atlantic Ocean, the Bay State has one of the most chronicled and lengthy histories of any state in the Union.
The most famous is the area of Plymouth that was founded in 1620 by the Pilgrims, who had discovered Native Americans in the nearby lands. The area of Plymouth has the John Carver Inn. This particular inn doubled as a medical school in the Revolution-era, but was shut down once it was discovered that grave robbers plundered the cemeteries and took the bodies back to the inn.
