Redvyn Asylum
In 1868, a wealthy, but mysterious proprietor opened Redvyn Asylum, one of the first mental hospitals in Virginia. Built in Hanover County, the hospital was situated close to the ruins of a reform school named Providence, which was founded by the late Emily Redvyn, who in 1795 was accused and executed for practicing witchcraft. Under the care of the physician Dr. Caine, only a select number of patients were admitted to the asylum and operations were extremely private. The asylum closed in 1871 as suddenly as it opened, leaving very few medical or historical records. Stories of the creepy doctor spread through the area and children would scare each other with nursery rhymes about Dr. Caine, aka Dr. Insane. This year, visit RED VEIN’s brand new indoor haunted house… Redvyn Asylum!
Rabbit’s Cry Field
In the cornfield surrounding Providence, many spirits protect their sacred land and its family’s secrets. Entities from long ago and creatures from the depths of hell now roam the grounds. Rabbit’s Cry Field is an outdoor corn maze filled with terrifying monsters and gory sets. New for 2018… visit the Bunny Man’s house and a trip through the forest behind the Butcher Brother’s Smokehouse.
Providence Home For Wayward Children
A small facility named Providence Home For Wayward Children was founded by Emily Redvyn in Hanover County in 1781. Providence was known to accept children who were abandoned, those with mental and physical handicaps, addictions, or just needing guidance. A century after Emily’s execution, Providence reopened in the 1930’s under new ownership. Step inside RED VEIN’s main indoor haunted house attraction, which includes over 35 highly detailed scenes, incredible scares, special effects, and screams around every corner. New for 2018… updated sets, more animatronics, characters, and an expanded basement where you’ll finally meet Emily in her true form!

Locurio is focused on entertaining people in new ways through immersive, live-action experiences. We believe in the power of the physical realm, combined with emerging and increasingly accessible technologies, as a platform for games and events the likes of which have never been experienced before. Our mission is to delight, inspire, empower, exhilarate, sometimes frighten, and, above all, evoke a sense of mystery within all who experience our games.
Live-action gaming has found a strong foothold in the mainstream market through the advent of room-escape games. We hope to expand on this wave and continue pushing the boundaries of immersive entertainment into other formats and genres, all with a focus on quality and professionalism.
Our debut experience is a highly immersive room escape game called The Vanishing Act, where players must search a magician’s dressing room for clues about his dark secrets and solve the mystery of his missing assistants before the end of the show. The Vanishing Act features a custom-made soundtrack and artwork, hand-crafted puzzles, special lighting effects, and interactive electronics, along with a visually striking set and compelling narrative.
In time, we hope to offer many more innovative games and events that allow players to experience the unique thrill and satisfaction of physically-manifested gameplay mechanics within an immersive setting.

The Story of
Edward R. Tandy
In the winter of 1964, Edward was born to Virginia W. Tandy-Winthrop, a retired wartime nurse and father, James P. Tandy, a coalmine worker in West Orange, New Jersey. On the morning of Edward’s 4th birthday, his father James was killed in a violent accident that took place in the mines near their small rural home. Edward was devastated by his father’s death, but it was his mother Virginia who took it the hardest.
Virginia left her job at the local hospital and took up a new hobby – taxidermy. Her first project manifested in the family dog Giblet (or “Gibby” as Edward fondly called him). One day, when Edward arrived home from school, he found his mother bent over the living room table, her hands covered in

blood, a needle and thread in one, and a large steak knife in the other. She had made some amateur mistakes, but was able to preserve Gibby for the most part. When Edward asked why she had done something so horrible to the family hound, she happily replied “Your father told me that it was his time, boy” with a smile on her face.
Many times Edwards’s mother tried to convince him to take part in her new hobby, and when he refused, she would call him weak, wimpy, and ill prepared for the “horrible world that festered outside”. She would often beat him and burn him with lit cigarettes. Edward loved his mother in spite of her hallucinations, temper, and her new “hobby”. Through her dead husband’s words that echoed in her head, she was told to “teach them a lesson” and to “find the unique ones and spare them”.

When Edward was 19 years old, his mother developed a brain tumor and died 2 years later. Her last dying wish was for him to carry on her legacy in trying to bring a twisted sense of justice to the world. Edward went equally insane upon his mother’s death and became obsessed with mechanical engineering, taxidermy, and death itself. Within his obsessions, he came up with horrible ways to carry out his mother’s plans with animal victims as well as human ones.
You are Edward’s most recent victim…
will you be spared?
