I am going for 4 days in December 2018 and will do an investigation while I am there. I did hear that it is haunted by a man named Rudolph who enjoys hiding personal items and then later returning them. I am psyched to find out if try. I’ll keep you posted!
Stayed in the Saragossa room for 2 nights. Night 2 my phone that played sleep music died. I woke up sometime between 3-4:15 to hearing a dragging noise across what sounded like a floor with no carpet…not directly outside my door but the house was so quiet that the noise felt loud. Like dragging fabric as steps rather than footsteps. It continued long enough for me to realize it wasn’t in my imagination. Woke up my bf to turn on music..went to sleep and awoke when his phone died to different noises. Old homes do creak but these weren’t standard old home noises. My horrible sleep was filled with nightmares. I shared my poor sleep with the inn keeper in the morning and the noises and she shared with me the folks that stayed in my room prior left in the middle of the night because they were certain it was haunted. Also, I assumed there was a basement because I knew about it being an old funeral home prior and have family members who owned and operated a home. I learned there is no basement. Hope to hear more next time I’m in town on a haunted tour, but won’t be staying there again despite the great service and location.
