My name is Mekenna and I’m 21 years old. My dad recently moved to Ottumwa less than a year ago from a small town about 2 hours away. I came down last night [8/2017] to visit him and decided to stay in the Hotel Ottumwa with family. I have always believed in ghosts, watched the paranormal shows, but have never seen or experienced spiritual evidence.
Just last night as I crawled into bed I heard a woman talking through the wall. On the other side of that wall is where my aunt was staying. So I went next door to knock on the door to ask her to please quiet down. When she opened the door she didn’t seem happy that I woke her up and told me she was in bed for the last hour or 2. I found that weird. So I brushed it off and went back to bed.
I woke up about every hour that night and couldn’t get to sleep. Around 3:45 am I woke up and peered off the side of the bed and saw 2 giant eyes looking at me! The whites of the eyes were yellow and the pupils were pinpoint. I freaked out turned away, huddled closer to my boyfriend, and hid under the covers. The sight was so frightening it sent me into a minor panic! I have never witnessed anything so frightening in my life. I will never forget it.
