Is the Jameson Inn in Crestview, Florida Haunted? No one knows exactly what occurred in room 208 of the Quality Inn (formerly the Jameson Inn) in Crestview, Florida. The only thing that is certain about the room is that it has become a hotbed for paranormal activity and grisly sightings. Rolling Hills Asylum in East Bethany, NY is an historical property that is authentically haunted! Originally opened in 1827 as The Genesee County Poor House, it became a safe haven for the mentally and physically disabled, war veterans, widows, orphans, drunkards, and more. In 1938 the county added a hospital to the facility – the Genesee County Infirmary, and in 1964 it converted the property to the Genesee County Nursing Home, or as the locals lovingly referred to it as  “the old county home” until closing in 1974. The original name of the Rough Riders Hotel was The Metropolitan. People expected the town to grow into a large city, which never happened. The hotel was renamed in honor of Theodore Roosevelt and the Rough Riders in the Spanish-American War. Through the years the hotel has been owned by different people and undergone renovations, which usually awakens the spirits. It’s believed that a little boy haunts one of the guest rooms at the top of the hotel. The laughter of a child is often heard in the room when no one is there. Read more…
