Haunted Elk Forge B&B Maryland’s haunted bed and breakfast started over 200 years ago as Elk Forge Company. This hard working, 1,000 acre community was home to a forge, saw mill, textile mill, grain mill and many farms. It stayed that way until 1981 when the new owners expanded and renovated the existing buildings and created the bed and breakfast that so many visit today. The Ammons Haunting In the winter of 2011, Latoya Ammons was under incredible scrutiny for claiming that her house and family were possessed by several demons. The Ammons House haunting was documented in over 800 pages of official records from local police and the Department of Child Services in what may be one of the most well-known hauntings since the Conjuring or Amityville hauntings. The former owner of the Talcott House Bed and Breakfast is said to have died in a fire. The wealthy owner is said to have haunted the location since. It’s thought that he started two fires at the Talcott house too. One of them happened during renovations. He plays the piano and listens to music from the 1920s. Guests have reported that their luggage has been turned over. Bedding and towels are often found on the floor too. Read more…
