The French Lick Springs Hotel in Indiana has the distinction of being the most haunted building in the state. Paranormal activity on the sixth floor is standard. Eerie occurrences have happened on the seventh floor too. The staff has reported hearing dancing and music emanating from the empty ballroom. Workers on the overnight shift hear unexplained noises, phones in unoccupied rooms ring, and cold spots indicate that a spirit is present. Some of the country’s most violent criminals were locked up there, so there’s hardly a spot where a ghostly sighting hasn’t been reported. The Broadview Hotel dates back to 1922. Despite its classic appearance, it’s one of Wichita’s scariest locations. The hotel was the scene of a tragic murder/suicide when a guest named Clarence found out his wife was unfaithful. In desperation, Clarence killed his wife then jumped from the hotel balcony. Clarence is the most active of the spirits and makes his presence felt in many ways.
