The Marshall House would endure the Civil War and a bout of Yellow Fever early in its history, which provided a grand setting for the hotel to latch onto its ghostly inhabitants. Today the Marshall House is one of the most haunted hotels in America with a ghoulish history that might leave a few in disbelief. The Haunted Aaron Burr House, Sir After killing Alexander Hamilton in an infamous pistol duel in 1804, Aaron Burr retreated to New Hope, where it is said that he stayed on the grounds of what is now called the Aaron Burr House Bed and Breakfast. The Ghost of Aaron Burr, Sir Witnesses report that the ghost of Aaron Burr has been seen roaming the house and peering around corners. The Haunted Ahwahnee Hotel Thousands of people visit Yosemite National Park every year, but most don’t come for the ghosts. While checking out all of the majestic waterfalls and mountainous mountains, you might as well stay somewhere with some excitement. The Ahwahnee Hotel was built in 1927 to serve as a luxury hotel to all of the park’s visitors. The name was changed to The Majestic Yosemite Hotel in 2016, due to a legal dispute with the government, but the ghosts haven’t gone anywhere. Read more…
