Oak Lane Cemetery Haunted House

Oak Lane Cemetery is our annual Halloween display/home haunt. We are small, but pack a lot of unique and detailed props into our yard. We set up in early October and run the lights nightly for most of the month for “drive by” viewing from sundown till around 11. Trick or treaters can come walk through the graveyard on Halloween night for a close up look at the spookiness. We are a kid-friendly haunt with no gratuitous gore or graphic violence and just a few startle scares. Check out my Youtube and Facebook pages for tutorials on how to make most of the props in our display.

I have started making and selling a few things on Etsy for anyone interested.

I haven’t been there personally, but I follow his work and his setups each year. If you have a chance to visit, do so. It is spectacular in photos, I can only imagine in person. The amount of detail and care he puts into his projects can be felt in the realism of his unique props.

When the ship is docked, all scenes are viewable from the street.  Scenes begin going up October 1st with substantial completion by mid October.  Then, new scenes are developed and new pieces are introduced daily.  Instead of a traditional haunted house and tours, our display is open to the public all the time.  Visitors are always welcome to view the scenes any time of day or evening from the street or the warmth of their car, as all scenes are electrified and lit at night.  If you see any of the build staff outside, feel free to say hello. We love meeting the community! They may even offer you a guided tour of the porch!

Each October the Halloween house on the corner of Spanish Bay transforms into the Grand Ship Ferdinand, a real life pirate ship complete with pirates, interactive scenes,… Read more…
