   This place is indeed haunted! I stayed in the west side hotel room 7B,, on top of the hill with just myself and my daughter. I heard a door outside my hotel room slam, which prompted me to look outside the peak hole of the door and saw a black apparition of a man with 2 red horns coming out of its head. I was shocked and just stared at it, both scared and confused-wondering if somebody was playing a cruel joke on me. After about 30 seconds of just staring at this entity, waiting for it to move (it just stood outside the hotel room leaned up against the entry door to 7A. There was a door behind it, which required a key card to open as well as the 7A door, so I would have heard the key card being swiped in addition to a door opening if the figure were to exit. I turned to look at my daughter real quick, about 3 seconds passed and I looked back out the peak hole and the figure was GONE. There is no way a person could have exited that quickly and without making any noises opening the doors with the key card. I told my mother the next morning she was gong to think I was crazy and I also reported it to multiple staff, who confirmed the hotel was haunted by a man in the 1980s down at the check in/out main office who was murdered. The murder was unsolved, according to the staff who told me he was still wandering the halls, seeking justice for his murderer.

      Experienced shadows moving in room .. While we were sleeping sounded like someone was moving around in the room and trying to get in .. like someone moving door.. Then felt like someone was standing over me and my heart was pounding. When I opened my eyes no one was there.. Then it felt as if someone sat at the foot of the bed and then I heard whispering.. That room is haunted!!! Scared to close my eyes and was up all night.. Room 206 😳

         The first night upon staying in SH East side, Room 221, I knew something was off. The first night we all heard a girl screaming at different points in the night while we were sleeping. Without knowing we all got up at different times looking for where the screams were coming from and we’re unable to pin point where they were they were. Later on, while laying awake in the bed, I felt something moving up the bed along side of me, crawling along where I was laying. When I looked, nothing was there. The next morning, day of check out.. 6am, again felt something moving up the blankets, pressing the blankets down. I got flustered and got out of bed quickly, but again, nothing was there. It all stopped after that. It didn’t feel like anything evil, just something that wanted to be noticed. When arriving home, after researching more, to my surprise, we were not the only ones to experience similar things at Steele Hill Resort. You are definitely not alone in the rooms there.

            Thank you for sharing, Tiffani. That is so creepy; the ghost was crawling up beside you in bed as well as hearing a female screaming. The ghost didn’t come in our room because I kept saying, “In the name of Jesus Christ, I command you to leave me and my family alone.” Ghosts hate hearing that! I will mention, I lost vision in my right eye (the eye that looked thru the peak hole and saw the ghost). I had surgery on my right eye 2 months later to restore my vision (I was 39 at the time, diagnosed with a cataract. Cataracts are rare for ppl under age 65, it was definitely the ghost I’m certain. Also, the last night at Steele Hill, both my cell phone and laptop broke, just stopped working. I had to buy new ones. There’s a former staff member of Steele Hill who mentioned in an online blog Re: SH being haunted- TVs would be constantly replaced they just stopped working. To this day, I am still so freaked out by what I saw. You see this type of stuff in the movies and on paranormal/ghost hunters tv shows, but when you actually experience it for yourself it’s crazy. Thanks again for sharing.

               I was in room 104 on the east side. the lights where flickering, my shoes where flying across the room, and my friend that stayed with me felt like someone was watching us. and someone was trying to push me out of bed it was a crazy stay.

   I was in room 104 on the East side and it was one of the most creepiest stays of my life. Night one the lights flicked and I felt somone watching me and my friend while we were sleeping. Day 2 something fell in the bathroom fell but when we looked nothing had moved not to metiom the mirror looked like something was watching us on the other side. Day 3 we got me some crocs then while we were watching tiktok they moved across the room. Then after that the stay was perfect but yes Steele Hill Resort is very much haunted. I hoped this helped Goodbye

   While I can’t say that Room 26B on the west side is definitely haunted, I can say with conviction that something strange is happening in here. I was up late reading in bed after my husband and son had fallen asleep. It was dark other than the bathroom light and my book light. Suddenly the bed shook as though my husband had jumped onto the bed. I looked over and he and my son were sleeping soundly in the same positions they had been in. Later, I hung my foot off the bed and it brushed against what felt like skin. I sat straight up and turned the lights on but nothing was there and my son and husband were still sleeping. Very unsettling.

   Stayed on the South side and the experience was eerie. The first night we noticed that the doors slam loudly without, the TV malfunctions and the a lots of strange sounds at night. We assumed it was just the AC/heat unit clicking on or off or the bed creaking. However, this building seemed newer and the old house sounds didn’t fit. On the second night, I didn’t sleep well and kept waking up throughout the night. I also had a vivid nightmare that involved a man being killed. In the morning I told my husband and he was shocked. Apparently he had just read a review about the place being haunted and told me about the murder where the man had died the same way I had dreamt the night before. Creepy.

      Hi AJ-please read my encounters. I saw a dark black ghost the first night at Steele hill (we stayed on the hill also known as the upper/west side). I also had a vivid dream about a man on all fours begging for his life and 2 people were standing above him, one shot him in the head. I nearly fainted when the staff confirmed the cold case killing from 1967, and once I saw Frank’s picture-that was the man in my dream. This man is trying to communicate as to what happened to him. This resort intrigues me because I felt a depressed entity as soon as I entered. I knew something negative was there. I am so glad you shared your experience and your dream.
