Is the Pickwick Hotel Haunted? The Hotel Highland, formerly known as the Pickwick Hotel, was previously the Pickwick Club. Before that, it was a medical building that served surgeons and dentists from the early 1930’s to the 1980’s. During the renovation, people began to see a ghostly nurse still making her rounds on the top floors. While the nurse keeps her rounds on the eighth floor, sometimes the elevator mysteriously moves to the eighth floor when no one has called for it. Read more…

The building was erected in 1763, and in the early 1980s, it was listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Although, it’s been around for years, only one spirit seems to haunt this location. She’s known as the Lady in White. She has been seen walking the second floor hallways. Since this home was built in 1885, many families lived in the home but all of them were descendants of Robert Hill and his wife, Elizabeth. It wasn’t until 1980 that home was sold outside the family. It was turned into a bed and breakfast where guests reported seeing many spirits. In one of the upstairs bedrooms, guests have reported the smell of cigar smoke. The bedroom is thought to be the one where Hill died. There’s been reports of a male apparition seen on the stairs. Read more…
