Gold was first discovered in the Wyoming Territory in 1842 right near the Sweetwater River. Legend has it that the man who first discovered it was so envied for his find that he was murdered before he could even make it home with his new treasure. For the next three decades, the area boomed with ruthless and violent prospectors who would stop at nothing to strike it rich. Built in 1882, the Moore’s Old Pine Inn is home to several spirits. It is said that previous owners and guests to the inn are still occupying the space. Is the Mayflower Park Hotel in Seattle Haunted? Seattle’s Mayflower Park Hotel was opened in 1927 and has had several reported paranormal sightings. Many involve an older man who once lived in the hotel. On the sixth floor, guests have seen the man’s ghost flitting from one room to another. Often, guests have reported that they feel like someone is watching them. Another older gentleman is seen on the 11th floor.
