Old Haunted Western State Hospital Old Western State Mental Hospital is one of the eeriest places in all of Washington State. It was originally Fort Steilacoom Asylum in 1871, but the building dates back to 1849 when it was part of the Fort Steilacoom Army post. The history of the hospital tells stories of frontal lobotomies, mental wards that were secretly open for prostitution by the orderlies and brutal attacks on patients. The Haunted Mansion of Melville Started on 1 October 1994 The F&W Schmitt Family Farm’s Haunted Mansion of Melville is back for its 21st fall season. Get spooked by the ghouls and goblins at the Haunted Mansion and the Haunted Nighttime Corn Trail.  History of the farm has a dark and troubling history surrounding a particular doctor who resides there to this day. Nevada’s notorious Clown Motel sits between Reno and Las Vegas on highway 95 in the small town of Tonopah. The town of Tonopah was once a booming mining town with nearly 50,000 residents.
