Since this home was built in 1885, many families lived in the home but all of them were descendants of Robert Hill and his wife, Elizabeth. It wasn’t until 1980 that home was sold outside the family. It was turned into a bed and breakfast where guests reported seeing many spirits. In one of the upstairs bedrooms, guests have reported the smell of cigar smoke. The Haunted Tokeland Hotel Just off the oyster-consumed Willapa Bay stands the large and luxurious Tokeland Hotel. The estate was built by Elizabeth and William Kindred in 1885 and was opened as The Kindred Inn in 1889, making it the oldest resort in Washington state. The inn is settled close to the Pacific Ocean, making it quite cozy and relaxing for a guest to stay. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. The Haunted Davenport Hotel in Spokane, Wa In 1920, a young woman named Ellen McNamara fell through a skylight and plunged to her death. She’s often seen peering over the railing towards the mezzanine below. There are other ghostly happenings that can’t be pinned to one ghost. A hotel worker reported that he saw a heavy, glass-and-metal terrace door fly open on a night that wasn’t windy. He didn’t return to that area for a week. It’s thought that the wife of a former owner haunts the Rosario Resort. She’s been spotted on the third floor in a red dress. She also has been seen driving a motorcycle in the hotel. One guest to the resort said that she was taking a small tour upstairs and found herself in an empty room but felt like she was being watched. She was overwhelmed with the urge to leave quickly. The lodge has been around since it was built in the 1926. At some unreported time in the past, there was a fire in the main lodge and a worker couldn’t escape from the fire. She died. It’s her ghost who is thought to haunt the lodge now. One guest reported to the store owner across the street that she was leaving the lodge because of an experience she had. After unpacking her bags, she found a woman standing behind her. The woman explained that her name was Beverly, and she worked in the hotel. Read more…
