The morgue has a history of thousands of funeral preparations, cremations, and the processing of animal carcasses. The Haunted Davenport Hotel in Spokane, Wa In 1920, a young woman named Ellen McNamara fell through a skylight and plunged to her death. She’s often seen peering over the railing towards the mezzanine below. There are other ghostly happenings that can’t be pinned to one ghost. A hotel worker reported that he saw a heavy, glass-and-metal terrace door fly open on a night that wasn’t windy. He didn’t return to that area for a week.
