Overview
Opened in 1895 by Ephraim Wells, the inn was originally built to provide a place for oil barons and upper-class citizens to relax. The founder is said to haunt this historic location, and the most haunted room is 324. The story goes that a maid went to clean the room, and she found the door stuck and was unable to open it. Each time she pulled the door open, it sucked itself shut as if someone was on the other side shutting the door. Footsteps can be heard on the second floor and walking down the various passageways as well.
Great place to stay. The owners are very friendly and so helpful. I would stay there any time I had the chance.
