My daughter and friends did this as part of her birthday. They had so much fun they went thru twice and already planning next year’s trip. Great atmosphere, costumes, and people.
Support our community and locals, it’s worth a short drive, fish a little before dark and camp onsite!

Spirits Over Stoner will thrill you and chill you to the bone!! The actors, costumes, and themes are always first rate. A family friendly business that is run by creatives. The price is beyond fair! They have food and Halloween movies playing all night long as well. Such a fun trail to go to during the Halloween season! I will return year after year just to see what they do next!!!

Great haunt run by awesome family, worth the drive. They also have a boat launch and camping. Very clean facilities, family friendly fun. Ben is a master gore and make up effects artist, he and his wife Lindsay put on a hell of a show. Corn maze with vignettes through out, really interesting and unique haunt, a must see.

As founder of cynthiana based ZOMBIE CRAWLERS Jeep Club. I invited a few friends along with my family to scout this place out to see if it’d be worth telling our 400+ members about it for a spooky event later this month. First of all, the props we’re great, and at first the actors were too , we met some after a walk thru , they were great..my kids enjoyed themselves as well. A group went thru after us and we’re being very inappropriate, cutting thru the maze throwing props and lights.. I totally understand that was uncalled for . They were escorted out. We took a short smoke break and the actors took a much needed break as well… BUT THEN… We went thru another time… We did “interact” more with the actors by talking to them , etc… We did even take turns scaring each other in our small group. Half way thru an actress dressed as a bunny in the “Alice in wonderland” set as we called it… Flipped out on one of our companions as he was walking like a ZOMBIE.. she thru her mask, yelled at him , and was NOT PROFESSIONAL at all… I think she over reacted completely to a situation she perhaps mistaken for something else. .. regardless of her lashing out which made me question what was going on… The guy with us immidiatly apologized and tried defusing the situation acting appropriately , even tho he really hadn’t done anything wrong. He still apologized and said he wouldn’t do anything like it again , he apologized four times to her to get her to calm down.. we continued thru the maze, interacting with a few other actors.. even tho we were still questioning what in the world had just happened… Upon exiting however a tall gentleman also an actor , was upset saying our member threatened to punch someone twice… And cut thru the maze… Absolutely did NOT happen.. did he step into the next row of corn stalks yes to scare US .. in fact we all did randomly. It seemed appropriate for the time. We did NOT vandalize their setup, nor did we trample corn stalks to do this, NOR did any of us threaten or remotely act like we were about to get physical with anyone… We were there in good humor actually just playing along , scaring people, not touching anything or anyone, and walking like zombies with are hands up in front or too our sides. ….
REGARDLESS of what our word is , or his… He only escorted our friend out, not the rest of us..I SIMPLY WANTED to talk it over, let him know our side … HOWEVER his Cartman from South Park RESPECT MY AUTHORITY mentality was immature and frankly very disrespectful to me. I listened to his side of the story and was well informed to his side… That another actor “told him ” … Which apparently didn’t even involve the actress as a bunny… Oddly enough or he was mistaken as to whom … But anytime I attempted to even speak , he just instantly talked over me disregarding anything I had to say.. it was close to closing time regardless.. I wasn’t asking for him to let our friend back in.. I simply wanted to be respected enough to be heard from our point of view. Too bad that didn’t happen. I believe everyone was already on edge from another group messing up their evening. If I hadn’t wanted to walk back thru a second time things would have been completely different. I was about to buy both my kids merch. And bring a very large group of adults who know how to act and be respectful to others into the establishment. I didn’t end up making any other purchases and left with my group tonight with a lack of respect now for the event. I’m glad I got to experience this before bringing the large group in tho…. I would have been more embarrassed if something like this had happened around more people that actually listen to and respect a group leader. $70 spent tonight for our small group of 7 on tickets to go thru this 1.5 times for enjoyment. But I saved alot more in the long run . Thank guys.

Well worth the drive from Lexington (where I live) and even farther, the Spirits Over Stoner haunted corn maze and forest are filled with beautifully made props and masks. The large collection of carved pumpkins at the start of the corn maze does a lot to prepare you for the creativity and beautiful attention to details in the props throughout.

Do not, as a woman in my group did, assume that the wall of hand-carved pumpkins is an indication that the corn maze itself is child’s play. The actors find the moments and locations from which to best startle you and when there are no natural places to hide in the corn, spaces are created by placing sculptures and installations to gather your focus. In those moments of appreciation for the prop-work, you become vulnerable and the actors know how to take advantage of this.

Can’t wait to go back this year!! This time I hope to arrive with enough people to create a group of our own as a way to avoid passing through the corn maze with a child too young to manage without wailing through tears along the way.

Or maybe that was me wailing
