The haunt came to life in 1994 when the Schmitt brothers, Bill and Ferd, had a brand new, greenhouse that was empty after the flower growing season in the spring. They wanted to come up with some way to utilize the space in October, rather than letting their brand-new building go to waste. They decided that they would try haunting unaware of the passion that their first experiment would bring out in them. WHAT IS ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE LIVE? Zombie Apocalypse LIVE is a live action, video-game-like zombie shooting experience. You and your team will use infrared military training replicas to clear apocalyptic and infested areas where the undead have invaded. The zombies will be wearing cutting-edge head shot targets that will flash to indicate a hit. Beware! Some zombies may need to be hit more than once to be taken down! Featured on Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures, come experience Northern California’s only REAL Haunted House! This is a fun “scare” tour and not a historical tour of the Castle. This year’s Haunt will be bigger and better, and you will see some new areas of the Castle this year. This scare tour may be too intense for younger children.
