Madhaunter’s Madhouse is closed. R.I.P.

With the passing of our friend and founder of Madhaunter’s Madhouse, Jeff, Madhaunter’s Madhouse is closed for business.

Every year, Jeff would call and chat with me about business, and he’d come visit us at our booth at TransWorld’s Halloween & Attractions Show in St. Louis every winter. Jeff was a friend, and we will miss him.

Jeff took great pride in his haunt. He loved his logo and would remind me how memorable it is. He was absolutely right; you could spot the orange joker a mile away. He’d walk up with his crew to our booth, and he’d pull his old FrightFind Koozie off his beer and put a new one on. He always had several crew members with him, and they were a riot. We’d catch up and see him and his crew several times throughout the conference.

Every year, Jeff would ask us in advance for his new FrightFind badge so he could get it printed out to display at his haunt. That sounds like a shameless plug, but he took a lot of pride in showing off his haunt. I took a lot of pride in him even asking for it. He’d send us photos of his banners displayed. This is the last photo he sent me in 2025.

History of Madhaunter’s Attractions

Main Trail

The main event for the Wickedest Show on Earth! Maddoc’s madness runs rampant throughout this trail of mania. Comprised of four main sections with many more scenes and stages, the main trail is an approximately 45-minute terrifying experience. (Please note that this attraction is completely outdoors)

Precurser

The Precurser tells the origin story of Madhaunter’s Madhouse inside Maddoc’s own twisted home! A shorter experience than the main trail at roughly 10 minutes; consider it to be a small insight into what’s in store on the main trail. (Note that this attraction is both indoor and outdoor, and must be completed BEFORE entering the main trail)

Escape Room

Are you brave enough to escape the madness of Maddoc’s twisted mind? This attraction will have you solving puzzles to escape the Madhaunter’s madness.
