Haunted Camino Real Hotel in El Paso, TX Built in 1912, the Camino Real is a national landmark. The hotel was originally known by the name “Hotel Paso del Norte” where guests would stay and watch firefights of the Mexican Revolution from the rooftop. The hotel has hosted dignitaries, Amelia Earhart, and even Pancho Villa played cards at the hotel before the Mexican Revolution.
