Haunted Camino Real Hotel in El Paso, TX Built in 1912, the Camino Real is a national landmark. The hotel was originally known by the name “Hotel Paso del Norte” where guests would stay and watch firefights of the Mexican Revolution from the rooftop. The hotel has hosted dignitaries, Amelia Earhart, and even Pancho Villa played cards at the hotel before the Mexican Revolution. The Haunted Driskill Hotel in Austin, TX The Driskill Hotel was built by Jesse Driskill and opened in 1886. The plan was to create the most luxurious hotel in all of Texas. That plan was succesful as the hotel played host to governor’s inaugurations as an annual tradition. Word is that Jesse Driskill lost the hotel in a poker game to his brother-in-law Jim Day.
