The Haunted Tokeland Hotel Just off the oyster-consumed Willapa Bay stands the large and luxurious Tokeland Hotel. The estate was built by Elizabeth and William Kindred in 1885 and was opened as The Kindred Inn in 1889, making it the oldest resort in Washington state. The inn is settled close to the Pacific Ocean, making it quite cozy and relaxing for a guest to stay. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. At the resort, the ghost is thought to be one upset governess for the former owner. Mrs. Beanning’s ashes were in an urn on the mantle for years. The new owners thought she’d be better off in the family crypt. Since then, the spirit has shown her displeasure. She turns lights off and on, plays with the blenders as well as fans in the resort. There have been sightings of the couple as well as the nanny who helped raise the couple’s son.The figure of a red haired woman has been seen by many guests and staff. She’s often seen admiring the solar calender built by George for his wife, Ann, which is why many people have felt that this peaceful spirit is Ann herself. For years, the bed and breakfast was haunted by solid apparitions as well as voices. The house was built on a location that used to house an entire Native American tribe that died when the settlers came to America. The lodge has been around since it was built in the 1926. At some unreported time in the past, there was a fire in the main lodge and a worker couldn’t escape from the fire. She died. It’s her ghost who is thought to haunt the lodge now. One guest reported to the store owner across the street that she was leaving the lodge because of an experience she had. After unpacking her bags, she found a woman standing behind her. The woman explained that her name was Beverly, and she worked in the hotel. Read more…

Curbed Seattle named Hotel Andra one of Seattle’s most haunted hotels. The hotel was built in 1926. It was the time of prohibition and loud parties. Today, guests as well as staff have reported hearing jazz and the sound of breaking glass from the 9th floor of the hotel. Whenever someone tries to investigate, the noise and music stops. Guests have seen apparitions in their rooms. In one room a paperweight levitates before hitting a glass table with a loud noise.
