Coming in to take the top spot for Colorado is Thornton, CO’s Haunted Field of Screams. Covering 30 acres and offering three unique experiences all in one convenient location makes this Colorado’s largest haunted attraction. With only the moon to guide you, you’ll have to make your way through looming cornstalks and eerie encounters with unseen inhabitants. Your wits may be put to the test on themed scenes that lay before you. If you survive, will you have what it takes to make it through the Dead Man’s Night Maze? A daunting maze filled with terrifying creatures who share one goal – to keep you trapped forever! Should you prove your merit, you’ll join other survivors in an effort to reach the zombie patrol outpost and put your paintball skills to the test during the Zombie Paintball Massacre! Connecticut Top Haunt: Legends of Fear

The Legends are true…and they want to get to know you too!

Claiming Connecticut’s number one slot this year is none other than Legends of Fear. For the past 21 years the talented folks at Fairview Tree Farm have been transforming their land into the ultimate scare fest! Located on an actual farm with acres of land to explore, visitors will have access to The Hallow which features four separate attractions, including the Melon Head Revenge Trail, Pine Hills Parish and The Dark harvest, as well as an all new 2017 addition, Hemlock Manor Mortuary. Should you make it out alive, maybe take a trip on the Haunted Hayride, celebrating its 21^st year of total fear! Despite this being a family farm, certain features may not be appropriate for your entire family. (No one under the age of 12 is permitted on the Melon Head Revenge Trail.) Guests will have to brave a multitude of monsters, including cannibalistic creatures, deranged parishioners, vile vampires and more if they want to survive the night. Parking is free with parking attendants on duty to assist anyone with special needs. Comfortable shoes and warm clothing is recommended due to the mostly outdoor locations. So come on by and make this Halloween legendary!

Rhode Island Top Haunt: Field of Screams

For the third year running, Field of Screams is at the top of the list for Rhode Island. Adding an intense zombie paintball course made this haunt a sure bet. South Carolina Top Haunt: Deceased Farm

Something’s Funny on the Farm

Deceased Farms promises to bring the scares in 2017, introducing guests to their deepest, darkest fears. Visitors will experience a continuous self guided haunt that spans 6 buildings of chaos, beginning with a trippy 3D experience that will leave your head spinning. After that, guests will make their way through a dreary farm and onto 2 acres of expansive cornfields. It’s almost harvesting time, so make sure you’re not caught out alone! You’ll likely need some time to unwind after such an adrenaline filled adventure, so be sure to relax and enjoy some smores or just grab some cold ones with the ghouls at Deceased Farms bar, “Deceased Brews”. All ages are welcome with parental or adult guidance, however parents are cautioned that this may not be an attraction suitable for those under 12. Characters are allowed to touch visitors and there are active strobe lights so those with medical conditions or expecting mothers may want to plan accordingly.

Vermont Top Haunt: Dead North

When a flourishing Vermont town began to slowly wither away into barren wasteland, its residents began referring to it as DEAD North, Vermont. West Virginia Top Haunt: The Asylum Haunted House Presents MALICE

Three year winner located in the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum

The folks over at the Asylum certainly know how to put on a show. For the third year in a row, they have stolen the number one spot as West Virginia’s Top Haunt, following their presentations of “Malice” in 2015 and “Hysteria” in 2016. This year prepare to be driven mad by “Deviant”, a terrifying glimpse into the sadistic mind of Dr. Cerebus and his mutilated experiments.  Located in one of the US’s oldest and most terrifying asylums from the 1800’s – the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum – this is a haunt with a lot of history. Like most of the others on this list, children 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult, and it isn’t recommended for expecting mothers or those with heart conditions. All others should proceed with caution, the doctor is in and he’s accepting new patients!

Wyoming Top Haunt: Nightmare on 17th St

Sweet Dreams Are Not Made Of These

Nightmare on 17th Street is the top haunt in all of Wyoming for the third year in a row! Spawned in 1989 by members of an international, non-sectarian fraternal order, the Knights of Pythias, the attraction terrifies 2,500 to 3,000 victims every year.
