Guests of the Oceanfront are encouraged to share their experiences in a journal near the front desk. Many of the hauntings occur in the older cabins on the ridge. Some of the unexplained happenings were rearranged furniture in the rooms, televisions that turn off and on and whispers in the middle of the night. One guest reported knocking on the door while the television flicker on and off that kept him up at 3 a. m.

This bed and breakfast is considered one of the most haunted locations in Washington. It’s been featured in a documentary called Montgomery House: The Perfect Haunting. For years, the bed and breakfast was haunted by solid apparitions as well as voices. The house was built on a location that used to house an entire Native American tribe that died when the settlers came to America.
