Guests of the Oceanfront are encouraged to share their experiences in a journal near the front desk. Many of the hauntings occur in the older cabins on the ridge. Some of the unexplained happenings were rearranged furniture in the rooms, televisions that turn off and on and whispers in the middle of the night. One guest reported knocking on the door while the television flicker on and off that kept him up at 3 a. m.

Is the The Heathman Hotel haunted? Some reports of hauntings from hotels are of a fairly benign nature with guests reporting strange noises or apparitions spotted in hallways, but the spirit or spirits in Portland, Oregon’s Heathman Hotel, one of the most haunted hotels in the United States, seem to take a somewhat more sinister approach to alerting people to their presence.
